Switch Games: The Weird, the Rare, and the Expensive.

The Switch's physical library is nuts with how large it is, factoring in Limited Run games and everything. I could not imagine ever collecting an entire set of Switch games. If someone ever does that in the future, it should be awarded.

It is rather insane, and I kind of love it. I'm glad that most of the collector's editions are also rather nice and worth it. I would never want a complete library myself, but indeed anyone who does complete it would be a hero lol. Thanks for watching!

Definitely check out the channel No Shortcut Gaming. As far as I’m aware, they have a complete collection (minus games that don’t play in English)

Im not huge on collectors editions, but I am pro physical editions. I have some unique collector editions, but the main one on Switch for me was metroid dread. Many of the games listed here, I have physical such as astral chain, no more heroes 1,2,3, bayonetta 1,2,3, collection of mana, shin megami tensei 5, xenoblade 1,2,3.

the fact the octopath wayfarer came with the plastic case makes it one of the most thoughtful collectors games

Stop doing this mate, Still available for 300-400 EUR. I believe you will be able to buy it. The same story for me with Baldurs Gate 3 collector's edition... over 1k EUR now. Impossible.

I just found a physical copy of Bayonetta 1 still in the plastic wrap, was the highlight of my year so far. Now I just need 2 and I'll have the trifecta. Great video by the way, definitely subscribing.

Nintendo is In a class of its on ! Can't even compare to PS5 or Xbox. If you own a PS5 or Xbox you have to have a switch on the side

I have the collector's edition for Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2, and 3. But I also have an extra copy of the game so I can the collector's editions sealed.

The only special edition game I have is Metroid Dread. It came with an artbook, some art pamphlets with designs from each 2D Metroid, and a Steelbook case. I'm hoping to get the Tears of the Kingdom special edition when that comes out in May it they decide to do one, but with how big this game is going to be, I doubt they will skip a special edition for Zelda.

I got the smash bros collectors edition with the GameCube controller. It’s has so many great games it’s unreal. Best Nintendo console ever IMO.

Here is some more expensive physical switch games. I have one of these and I'm getting the others. Fox n forest, shantae and the pirates curse and also the messenger. Plus outlast 1 and 2. I have fox n forests.

I got collection of mana at Best Buy. They had it for a short time. Collecting for the Switch is fun and all but if any games are going to be worth anything we're talking 20 years out. There will be plenty of opportunity to collect in the future when prices drop. If the Switch is anything like other systems there will come a time where no one wants the stuff. There will always be the oddball game that holds it's value but the majority of games will probably become worthless at some point. I was buying PS1 games back around 2010. I was getting games like Xenogears for $20 and Castlevania Symphony for $30. Who knows everyone's a collector now a days. I have about 75 Switch games that are sealed. I have no problem opening them. I just don't have time to play them at the moment.

Amazing video! Fantastic collection! It feels great collect the collector's/special editions of Switch physical games. It gonna worth a lot in near future. But I just miss the Zelda Breath of the Wild Master Edition set in your collection. It is the coolest collector's set of all Nintendo's games.

Collection of Mana wasn't an exclusive, it was widely available. SE claimed the physical edition was a limited edition, but it's still available years later. Anyways, great video, looking forward to more!

I just so happen to find someone selling their Octopath Traveler Wayfarer’s Edition literally a few days after I saw this video 😂 they’re selling it at a pretty great price and while I’ve gone quite above my budget for games for this month (wayyy too many good July releases), I really can’t pass up this deal. Totally going to be worth it honestly because the popup book is so unique!

Great video! I have only one collectors edition and that’s Metroid dread, I also have 3 steel books Metroid, persona 5, and SMTV. I love collecting for the switch! I definitely prefer collecting cartridges over discs because they are so small and cute.😅 can you make a video where you predict what switch games may be rare or expensive in the future? I love collecting hidden gems that I think will be harder to find later on.

Great video def subscibing,I got the neo geo pocket color CE too, I loved having access to those games and its obscure and will prob become very valuable.Both gamestops neat me have the collection of mana for like 20$. I've had it for years and got it brand new at a retail store so maybe they ordered from SquareEnix?

I really hate Nintendo when it comes to Limited Editions. I don't know how many they make, but it's clearly not enough, do they even consider their huge fanbase? Right now, I'm seeing lots of Fire Emblem Engage Divine Editions on ebay, great, the scalpers have no problem getting them, but the actual people who want them? No, they can't get them at regular prices. Some sellers even have multiple copies! Are you kidding me? I can't get ONE copy, but a scalper, they can have as many as they want. Sorry for the rant, lol Definitely looking forward to your second video for this series because I only have one or two of the items you showcased here. I assume you have all the LEs and CEs of first party Nintendo games like the Breath of the Wild Master Edition, which I never knew about til later. Ugh. Were you able to get the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 SE? I had to get one (for inflated prices), because damn Nintendo and scalpers.... Just me, but I don't like the pro controller, lol. It just looks ugly as hell. I'm sure it's sturdy and functional. I have the Hori fighting pad for the Switch and I prefer that for fighting games.

Yeah, it can be hard to get your hands on Nintendo collector/limited editions, and they don't seem to be learning from their past lol. Unfortunately, I'm also going to have to get the Xenoblade 3 set second hand... despite being on Nintendo's website the moment the pre-order went live, I couldn't get one, and it drove me nuts. But...it is a beautiful set for a great series, so I'm going to have to get it. I don't care for Fire Emblem that much so I skip their collector's editions. which I hear are a pain to get as well. I love the Pro controller actually lol. Hori fighpads are fantastic as well, but for the Switch, I've refused to use the Joy-cons since I've first tried them and have used the Pros ever since. They are sturdy and feel pretty good, plus their battery life is INSANE. I need to charge them usually only once or twice a month believe it or not. As always thanks for watching and commenting!
