From what I've heard Playstation controllers also have gyro, just like Switch (and Steam controller). So really Xbox is the odd one out. That said, it doesn't seem as widely known or used...

For learning motion controls you don’t need to be a splatoon x rank right away, also there are two options for motion controls roll and yaw, I strongly suggest staying away from roll because it’s significantly more difficult to use (not to say it’s bad just it doesn’t work for lots of people’s preferences), other than that I would say set motion to very low and maybe set different senses for aiming and looking

Sigh... A major reason to use motion controls in the first place is so you don't have to use the awkward, uncomfortable claw grip on characters that need to turn fast (due to being in close combat, or even just in general when you are fighting multiple enemies). Motion controls on a decent sensitivity can turn 100 degrees and lock on in less than a second. I _do not_ recommend using low sensitivity motion controls.

Without watching the video, I can already assume one of two things: 1) You've been a secret Splatoon 2 god since 2017 and a master of motion controls. 2) You think motion is trash. Now I watch and see what happens... PeaS: Motion controls are really good for shooters, don't sleep on them. I would prove it to you with my good BfN motion aim but...I'm rusty af at shooters. I would recommend slowly scaling up the sensitivity as you master the precise aim the controls give you. Right now my sensitivity is around 6 I believe. Also make sure to reduce the motion smoothing setting to 0. 0:53 I mean you seriously didn't know? Nintendo did it with the 3DS and WiiU pad so it was only a matter of time.

Idk why motion smoothing is a default it makes zero sense for any motion control situation let alone a shooter
