True. These were in the 70's, when most songs sang to black women was that of admiration, honor, protection and respect. How far we've come.

It is a shame that our Culture has Enabled these young thug Rap Artists to Disgrace. Black Women in the Lyrics of their Songs. Not to mention the Vile Profanity that is used also. This type of Music should have been banned Long ago. And We wonder why other Races don't Respect Us!!!👎😞

Sad aint it. Imo I believe the older generations need to start having grown people parties where guys actually danced with women and the vibe was to.party. if we show them the way, people follow what we see not a lot of what we say to one another. Peace and blessings everyone

What is a dub-over? Switch used overdubbing just like most every other group in the last 60 years. They certainly did that when it came to vocals. Bobby can't sing leads and backgrounds at the same time so yes, they overdubbed. Further, this is a total lip sync to the original track. Switch was and is RIDICULOUSLY talented but you took things about fifty steps too far. LOL!

God really blessed the DeBarge children with heavenly voices... I think about their personal story and how they were treated so badly by their biological father and how each of them struggled with drug abuse trying to cope with the abuse from childhood/adolescence. May God free each of them that are still alive and continue to remind them of His love and gift of song.

His rich falsetto and his ability to sing his fourth octave in a run of chords and a beautiful vibrato made his singing ability incomparable (listen to Why Have I Lost You, Shake Your Pants, Two Of Us, I Care For You- there are so many that's just to name a few) He is another amazing talent that was gone too soon. Remember them so well, was my favorite group. Bobby didn't want to use his falsetto because he didn't want people to think he sounded like a girl. LOL, he didn't know how sexy we girls thought he sounded and the fro was when we African American began to show how proud we were of our natural hair. Love those days!

I've been in love with Switch and Bobby Debarge for over three decades. Their songs are classics. Bobby Debarge was not only a very sexy man, but his voice could make me melt. His voice is absolutely magnificent. His range was incredibly superior to his brother El and most other falsetto singers with the exception of Phillip Bailey of EWF. Even though El has great range in his falsetto, Bobby's voice was as smooth as butter on a hot biscuit, effortlessly flowing from his golden pipes. Just thinking about his voice and incredible range is giving me goosebumps all over. The man was definitely one of the greatest falsetto crooners of all time. He will truly be missed. RIP Bobby, you and your voice will never be forgotten..

Wow...every time I hear this song and "I Call Your Name"...it brings me right back to my silly, giggly, teenaged years and the sheer mind blowing reaction we all had when we first heard him sing! I can't believe he's gone. 2 weeks before my 2 and last child was born. Wow. I have to wonder if his death (from AIDS) came from his 5 year stint in prison...or had it going in but having been not been treated and died soon after release. We truly miss and love you for all the love and joy you bring!
