New Video! Switchbot Hub 2 with Matter!
Here is the SwitchBot Hub2. It’s plastic and light weight, but looks nice. There's a kick stand so it can be placed on a desk or table.
I love when Hubs don’t look like a Hub. Aqara is a great example of this with their Camera Hubs. In this case it’s a temperature and humidity LCD display. Right away I have to say I love the design. The white on white looks really good in my opinion, and large numbers really stand out and make it easy to read, just at a glance. I’ve been keeping this in my studio and it fits in nicely on my desk. Stay tuned for all the details about this new Matter enabled Switchbot Hub!

Oh Brad, so sorry you had to go through with the rebuild! I’ve seen a few members in the FB group I am in need to do the same. As crazy as it sounds, seeing a video on what you did - including any lessons learned during the rebuild - would be very helpful for when one of us needs to go through the same process. I pretty much came out where you did in the SwitchBot 2 hub. It’s a great step in the right direction, the hub has some nice features but there are some obvious gaps (expose those buttons!), we don’t know what or when additional devices will be available to add to our Apple Home. The only part where we differed is the look. I found it to be a bit cheap looking and fear that the white on white will eventually dull thereby making it harder to read. Obviously the later is speculation but I prefer a greater natural contrast from the background to the text/display.

At least for the moment it seems that the *”HUB”* is not able to relay any data from like the Meter Plus to HomeKit.

Probably, they will support Matter at the end of this month.

I like it but they should allow all their sensors on matter switch bot hub light sensor won't show on Google home and door sensor. Comes with motion and light sensor they also don't show on Google home either with normal setup or using matter, is to basic matter

No one should have to rebuild their home. That’s just ridiculous on Apple’s part for not being more helpful.

Yeah agree. Their guess was “corrupted memory” somewhere within my home settings. The ticket is still open but I just couldn’t wait any longer.

I for one during prime days and plan on setting it up this weekend along with two blind tilts. Hoping I don’t have save issues. I do have one matter over thread device in by home now, the Nanoleaf Matter A19.
