Switching to Old Man Emu 2866 and Tough Dog Shocks

I am hopefully "upgrading" my rear suspension from Old Man Emu 2865 springs and OEM-style Tokico shocks and moving to a little more load carrying capacity with OME 2866 progressive rate springs and Tough Dog 41mm foam cell shocks. Watch the video for the results.

Yes, that's how I measured.

@@thelandcruiserproject On my '99 LC it came with airlift 1000 air bags. I didn't use them initially due to one not seating properly and not holding air. A replaced one bag and all working well now. Airing them up it gives me about 2-2.5" of lift in rear. (Without the bags inflated it was probably sagging just a bit lower than stock.) But with the bags and torsion bars cranked up it gives a nice lift and rides excellent. And to boot.....there is zero sag when carrying my heavy steel deer rack on hitch. Uploading pics would be a good option here. And extremely cheap.

Not sure the brand disappear during the 90's and now came back. I had to get it imported from other country. Currently they don't have what I want.

why not install air bag for when you load her up?

If I get into towing something, that's the route I'd likely go. Loads aren't so great yet to require airbags.

i used tough dog on both the 80 series and 200 series ,,, on the 80 they are perfect ,, on the 200 series I would not recommend them.

@@thelandcruiserproject i cant find a medium setting on them for the 200 its either bouncy too soft or hard as a rock not to mention the plastic adjust knob broke so have to use a screw driver for em now. thinking of changing them to old man emu now...
