You cannot study while on a Graduate visa, but you can go for a PhD after your graduate visa, but cannot apply for a Graduate visa for the second time.

Nope but I believe that it can be done by linking the dependants’ applications to that of the main applicant via his/her Unique Application Number (UAN)

Thanks for the info. If one has dependants, can the main applicant first apply (like a month after graduation) and the dependants apply later towards the end of the student visa expiration? Can this work without any complications?

Hi Oladiran, I believe this should work without complications. I haven’t seen it play out but reading through the application process makes me believe it will work fine. The main applicant’s application will be linked to that of the dependants through his or her Unique Application Number (UAN). Bear in mind though that the dependants visa will end on the same date as that of the main applicant even if they apply much later. Cheers!

@GrayShores No, I was just asking. Thank you for your response. There is another challenge, though. I applied for myself, my son, and my husband. I paid the normal IHS fee but that of my husband and son came back as £0. I wouldn't know why. Some people said they will still get in touch to ask for it. What do you think?

They will review your application and will get back to you to make payment for that of your husband and son. Someone I know experienced something similar. The IHS payment will be made before they approve the visas. All the best!🙏

The graduate visa isn’t free of course and I am not sure which part of UK you will be based in so, I can’t say anything with regards to job availability. All the best with your plans 🙏

Which time is more suitable to apply for this visa? Weeks to or months to the expiration of ones student visa? Is there any UK stated rule to that? Also how much did it cost all together?

You can apply anytime after you have graduated provided you make the application before the expiration date of your Student visa. I paid a total of £1,963 for my graduate visa.

Ideally, all results should be out before the expiration of a student visa and the school should have reached out to UKVI to inform them that your husband has graduated before he can apply. I will advise that he reaches out to his school to know when the results will be out and sent to UKVI. All the best!
