Hi. I am planning a 2 wk trip to Switzerland in Mid August. I plan to get a 15 day Swiss travel pass that will cost around $520. I hear that you can travel in any bus / train / tram in any city in Switzerland. At the same time i see on certain websites that only certain trains run by a specific operator is OK on STP. I understand that some Mountain railways, cable cars etc are not part of STP. My concern is primarily travelling between various cities like Interlaken, Zurich, Lucerne, Basil, Geneva, Bern, etc to visit points of attraction. While the idea of being able to get into any train at any time (Except scenic ones...) sounds great, do I have to reserve a seat on each intercity trips?. If the train gets full do they allow standing passengers?. Lot of questions. Can you do a Vlog clarifying how to have a good experience with STP . Much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I apologize for replying to your message late. In Switzerland, there is a card called daily transportation card. With this daily card, you can travel by intercity train, city bus, tram, boat, cable car and train for 24 hours. There are 1st class and 2nd class options for the train. You can get your daily pass by choosing the class. You don't need to choose a seat. You can sit in any seat you want, you will usually find a seat. You cannot travel standing on the train. Thanks have a good day. www.sbb.ch/fr/cartes-journalières
