Love him or hate him, this is not about Glenn but about his wife and their livelihood as a family. I can't believe how many a$$holes are saying negative stuff online during this time. As a married man, my wife is everything to me, and I couldn't imagine going through that and getting 💩 from people.

The sad thing is that the guitars that were confiscated will be destroyed. They should have the headstocks sanded and branded (with a branding iron) as CF by USC (Confiscated Forgery by U.S. Customs) then given to schools for music education.

That's the most logical thing I've read all day. I wholly agree. School music programs are usually one of the first things to go when budget cuts are necessary. All those guitars could really make a big difference. Every kid should learn some type of instrument. You only get better over time. It's the gift that keeps on giving. It's therapeutic and can keep a kid occupied, and therefore out of trouble. Usually. It's a travesty those guitars will be destroyed. Hurts my heart.

The companies (any legit ones) still won't get the money they would've get if these guitars did not exist. Gibson of course will survive, but in general giving knock-off stuff to ones in need does not really help legit producers in the long run. Also what if they so bad a child would not want to touch a guitar ever again?

You know what's one of the coolest thing about Ola? He shows us concretely that creativity is limitless. Making new riffs and solos every week, go here and there to find ideas, messing around with shi-, etc. There are so many opportunities and he presents them all. For some people, that's unreal, man. I can only make one riff and solo, and it's been more than two weeks for me to find new ideas and shi- I love this guy, his efforts, and his achievements.

My first guitar was a 1971 "Mann" copy of a Less Paul made in the Fuji-Gen Gakki factory (see Ibanez), and is a fantastic instrument which I learned to play on and wouldn't part with. I'm not sure what quality these guitars may be but it would be a shame to see decent instruments wasted in a landfill when there are plenty of school music programs they might benefit.

How's your back doing? I've had 3 low back surgeries and and good bit of Titanium hardware installed into my spine. I'm really metal now. Lol.
