My 6 yr old son has about 7 swollen lymph nodes on the back of his neck and on the right side of his neck. The doc gave him antibiotics to help the suspected infection. Going to doctors tomorrow to get them checked out further. Hoping it’s nothing bad🤞🏽

I had colon cancer stage 1 in 2013 via colonoscopy. Radiation therapy ct scan 2014 and endoscopy there after results non malignant with Celine disease. endoscopy results of 19 September 2017 not received yet. Gi form states gastritis. I have 1 swollen lymph node on my right neck and 6 on my ribs. Should I worry?

Hi Dr., I have been taking Anti Tuberculosis drugs for 3 months now for abdominal tb and my symptoms had improved.I have recently noticed a pair of swollen lymph nodes on the back of the neck (on the same side) which have peristed for 2-3 weeks now. They are about 1.5 cm in size , soft and move around. And there is no tenderness either. I don't remember having any infections except a cold about a month before which went away fast. Is it already time to get this evaluated by a Doctor?

I have a swollen lymph node on my neck. It was tender, warm, and squishy, but immobile. I found it on 1/1/2017, and it was decent size. Its shrunk substantially since then. I wanted to see my doctor but I don't have insurance so I would like to get insurance before being potentially diagnosed. Given that it shrunk, especially since it shrunk by A LOT...like it was at least triple its current size, and painful at one point without even touching it, does it sound more promising that I do NOT have lymphoma? That's mainly what I've been worried about. I felt absolutely FINE in every other way. Would YOU still be concerned? Let me know because I will make it even MORE of a priority to get health insurance, if you deem doing so necessary.

Ive been having strong pain on my neck and chest, it started on 10/2017 till now, i went to E.R, due to strong pain, i almost slipped into a coma due to high white blood cell count, we did 35 blood withdraws each 3 tubes, we also did cat scan, x rays, urine samples, and fecal samples. Nothing, doctors were baffled, one reccomended we do an biopsi of the lynth node on the side of my neck, so we did. Also nothing consisten with foriegn proximeties, meaning i have nothing, i still have the pain, not when im still, but when im moving heavy things, reaching high or low, im a 27 year old truck driver and diesel mechanic with a cat, also no cat scratch fever. I used to bench 300 lbs, now i can only bench 90 lbs. Drastic loss in power due to pain. Anything else i can do to figure this out? It really hurts me and i wish not to worry my family due to im the only child living with my mom and wife, so i suck up the pain to be strong for them. I need medical help please. I still have the blood test's they did on me on file, Why are my lynth nodes still swollen, with pain?

Oh and when they gave me stelroids, the pain completey disappeared, no pain and had all my strength back, but when i would drink my anti-biotics i would get extremley dizzy light headed and naussia, and pain is still present.

7 months ago, I noticed one swollen lymph node in my groin area. I thought nothing of it. My doctor thought nothing of it. Come February I had 4 swollen lymph nodes. Around late March is when I got super sick, I could barely walk, I was having hot flashes, I couldn’t stand without almost passing out. That lasted for two week. Now it’s May, I have 9 swollen lymph nodes and one of them changed into a weird shape. Almost like a small sugar snap pea. None of them are crazy big, only a couple have grown and one changed shapes. I still feel ill, body aches constantly. I am only 20, so I shouldn’t be sick for this long. I have an appointment with an ENT tomorrow.

Go to an Oncologist to have then do a blood count right away. I had swollen nodes forever. My doctor had me see an Oncologist and they checked my blood and found Chronic lymphcytic leukemia. Its a slow progressing illness my t-cells were only 11,000 when I went to the ONC it wasn't until I told her about my forever nodes that she checked my blood. God bless you. Good luck. Nodes cannot be surgically removed because they will grow right back. Sucks huh. You should see under my jaw. My nodes are giant.

I had a CT scan done of my abdomen looking for kidney stones because I keep having side left flank pain. Instead they found 3.4cm x 2.8cm periaortic lymph node, I'm very concerned about this! I have been extremely tired and having night sweats, an anxiety lately. Several years ago I had both testicles removed because of cancer, so I'm not worried about testicular cancer. All of a sudden yesterday afternoon I felt this weird pain up under my jaw. I gave it a feel and there was a pea sized lump. This all happened an hour before school let out. Today at school it was fine no pain no bigger but now it's more then doubled in size. This has added to some other changes Ive noticed in the past month. I wake up with bruises, I have low iron so I am used to it but there are more then usual. Then just 2 days before this swelling I got some sores on the inside of my bottom lip. Iv'e read that these are some signs of leukemia. I have paranoia and don't have a bond with my mom. so i am wondering if I should inform her so we can see whats going on. I am 16 and my anxiety is through the roof.

Sir! I have the following swollen and enlarged lymph nodes from the last 2 and a half years; 1.back of head,2. neck, 3.parotid, 4. Submandibular, 5. Supraclavicular and 6. Groin region(Inguinal)... I had met a lot of Doctars and they suggested me the following tests, which were all okay. C-reactive protein, ESR, chest X-Ray, HBV and HBS, CBC, abdominal ultrasound, LDH, lymph node biopsy from the groin region. My biopsy report showed that I have reactive hyperplasia. Now, what should I do? Please, reply must Sir, I am very worry about it...

I have a Damaged occipital lymph node in my neck. I am 41 years old now and it was caused by a Older Kid (Grade school-er) when I was in kindergarten at recess. He put his hand around the back of my neck and pinched it between his thumb and index finger damaging some nerves and the occipital lymph node on the right side. I fought issues and pain with it all my life. It's so big and tender now I wish they would just cut it out. Headaches cause it to flare up and so does stress.

Hi, thank you so much for sharing. I can feel my right groin lymph node inflammation, not too much but I can feel the difference between left and right one. This happend when I was going the stairs up to by two with a backpack. I was in a great health condition as I'm 34 and in shape do sport all the time. Now I have this pain for about 9 months and it used to pain when I was pushing that, but now I fele the pain more and randomly. I visited several doctors,blood test, urine test and finally MRI. That they could see the inflammation but they saw inflammation near my hips and backbone that concerned them about rheumatism. So want me to inject humira pen every two weeks. But I'm not sure if those are related. Would you please help me to figure out what is this as this happend yo me when I was going up the stairs and I think it could be because of an injury. I've a swollen lymph node in my right arm pit (felt like a soft tissue about the size of a small bean) since March 2017. Doctor gave me antibiotics but the swelling still there. Then I had an ultrasound and a mammogram done and the result showed no evidence of breast cancer. However the swollen lymph node hasn't gone away, I felt minor pain when I pressed the swollen lymph node with my hand. How long will this inflammation go away? it has been about 6 months already.

got a random painful bump but no redness. It feels as big as a pea but I can't see it. I tried to see if it would move but it hurts too much. It's under the chin/not on the trachea. It feels hard tho. I am wondering if it's even a lump from a node...it feels like it's even bigger inside my neck like there's more of 'the infection' I can actually feel it it's so swollen in there, especially if I turn my head. I remember getting one under my armpit like a year or two ago and it didn't hurt nor did it feel hard. It also moved. It went away nicely...

Thank you for sharing. I have a swollen lympth node on my arm pit. It does concern me as my blood work has been abnormal before. I've had elevated white count on my last couple of cbc's to which I was referred to a hematologist. He said I was chronically anemic (Before I started taking iron supplements.) They did a peripheral blood smear to look at my blood cells. I never got the results because they changed doctors on me.

I had an ulcer on my tongue. after biopsy i was told it was benign but it kept coming back until my dentist arranged another biopsy and it was squamous cell carcinoma. I had it surgically removed but a few months later a lump on my neck came up and I had a course of radiotherapy after 6 weeks the lump was smaller but still there. My oncologist has said wait another 4 weeks but if it does not go there is no other treatment. Does this mean I could die?

Ok I have a few bug bites all on my right but cheek most easily seen from my side so close to my hip. I noticed later what appeared to be a swollen lymph node a little below my bladder on my right side I can also can feel like a great string going from it across my hip in the direction of my bites. I found out I have glandular fever out I have three years ago when I have become very sick with cold, swollen tonsils, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes and so on. After two weeks I was back to normal, let's just say I recovered. Everything with me is fine but my lymph is still swollen till this day on the right side of my throat and the back of my neck right side. It is extremely visible if I bend or raise my neck but I don't get pain. I asked my doctor what should I do but the reply I have gotten was it's less than 1 inch I don't need to do anything and it's fine for me to live with it. Do you guys have any suggestion I fear the worst thinking it can be cancerous or am I just paranoid.

G'day Doc All my Lymph nodes are up behind my neck also the sides of my neck. I also have Edema in my Ankles, Toes and Legs up to my Knees. Up my Legs, Ankles and Toes I have bright red spots everywhere. My Neck is hard to turn as it hurts. I ve been to Drs here in Australia and none of them seem to know whats going on. Hello Doctor, Firstly, thanks for the knowledgeable video I have noticed a swollen lump to the left side of my neck 4 days ago, its not hard directly and upon pressing on it it doesnt hurt that much. So i went to get it checked out. A nurse and investigated it by touching it and she said that it is not serious and should go away upon 2-4 weeks. However I am naturally a very "worried" person in general about everything, and Ive read that this could be cancerous, and I am wondering if I should investigate this further again or listen to the nurse and wait? When should I be worried? I have not had any fever of any sort, nor have I had any pain anywhere in my body or anything, I am generally healthy, I am 25 year old male.

I have differnt sized lumps all over my body. The ones on my Breasts, knees ,arms and underarms. are the largest and are soft, while the others are hard nodules on my hands , ankles and feet . It also feels as though my abdomen is inflamed. The pain under breasts goes all the way around to my back. Laying on my left side hurts due to the large lumps under my arm. I have a really painful lymph node on my neck, it’s been on me for 1 week and It hurts when I move my head (a lot). I’ve been on antibiotics for the week and there is still no change, any recommendations???.

I have a lymph node bump on my right side near goin , your saying cancer chance , maybe stage 2 or 3 scary: , i have a infection zit on my right cheek as well , taking anti biotics its going down ,pain going away, feeling better just having trouble walking like i did before. Lymph node bump still present , about day 7 . Think its cancer or just a bad zit?

im pretty scared they told me i had swollen lymph nodes they subsides but a certain tightening never went away its been about 9 moths it went from extremely bad to better but not all the way gone, only prob i had before this was i ate a fingernail and it scratched inside of throat but that had healed then 4 months later i had a tooth implant my troubles haven;t been better sense then went to ent he found white dot said he doe not look cancerous when i went again he said white dot was gone throat looked ok but i should not bee fleeting pain anymore, he strongly recommended second opinion, very scared mostly notice a tightening on one side of adams apple at its worst months ago it felt like a peas sized lump so scared wish i had more then medicaid

My issue started with with an ear infection & neck pain. Prescribed Amoxicillin, which did nothing; later prescribed Cefdinir (300 mg) & Diclofenac Potassium (50 mg) for relief of pain & inflammation. Every time I took Cefdinir, my neck would hurt MUCH worse, but I finished the prescription. 3 weeks later, I'm back in the doctors office & was tested for strep & the flu (run down feeling, nauseous, body aches, stomach cramps, headaches, diarrhea, etc.). Flu test results were negative (doctor disagreed with that result as I had the symptoms), but positive for strep. Prescribed Cefdinir again & after 2 doses, I stopped - I couldn't stand the swollen glands pain anymore. I have the swollen glands issue WITHOUT a prescription & yet, my doctor keeps telling me to take ALL of the medication in order to feel better, but it makes the pain even worse! I've been dealing with this since October, been to Urgent Care twice & to the doctors office twice - is there anything else that can be done? 12/31/17 @ 4:40P.

Hi Dr. Vaughan. I have a question on lymph node drainage direction. Here is my story.... About a month ago my wife found a small pimple on my chest below my pec. She popped it and the stuff that came out had a very bad smell. We consulted Dr. Google and decided it was a sebaceous cyst. About 3 days ago I went against my better judgment and took a knife to it and got more smelly stuff out. Anyway, I discovered the very next day of after my self operation that the lymph node on my elbow is swollen to about the size of a dime. I've learned from your that it's called the ""epitrochlear". It's movable to an extent and looks like it has something like a broken capillary leading to it. Now here is my question.... Is it possible that the sebaceous cyst on my chest drained to my epitrochlear? Do you think the thes 2 thngs could be related? Either way I am going to the Doctor.

The epitrochlear nodes do not drain the thorax, just the arm.

Auburn Medical Group hi doc I have a question in regards to lymph node size seen on a ct I'm studying, nonspecific bilateral level 1B lymph nodes measuring 1.8 x 0.8 cm on the left and 1.5 x 0.7 cm on the right with preserved fatty hila and normal shape. are these lymph nodes too big?

update: I went to a doctor about the lump near my elbow and he wasn't alarmed at all. I almost felt like I was wasting his time. Took him less than 2 minutes to say that he's not sure what it is but he didn't think it's cancerous. He said he could cut it out if it bothers me. The lump seems the same (maybe a little bigger) and I think it might be a lipoma. I should also add that the smelly blackhead thing on my chest is still there....

Over the pas few days I have experienced a swollen cervical lymph node. It has grown to the size of between 8-12mm in 2-3 days. I can move it and feel it. My tonsil on the same side is also swollen and there's slight soreness when swallowing. I plan to see a doctor soon and I know you are not here for a medical diagnosis but I'm nervous and worried which is strange for me, I just have a bad feeling about it. It's close to doubled in size every day since I noticed it

Auburn Medical Group I went to a doctor and they did strep test and other bacterial tests and looked at it and everything came back negative, they prescribed augmentin anyway and said if anything changes to come back. I feel like that's overlooking the fact my cervical lymph node is the size of a grape

Also my voice is affected for months I barley talk goes in and out. Feel pressure. I don't smoke. Never did yet you south think last few months that. I had laryngitis. Cannot lay onMy back. Chest area so much pressure

Help: i have swellig under my jaw about a month now feel like one of my lymph node swollen since i notice it it haven't get any bigger and when i swallow my ears makea sound i went to a doctor and he check my ears and he say everything is ok with my ears .Any help on What this could be?

The right side of my face was swollen on Monday. I went to the ER and they said infection. On Tuesday the other side swells up as well. I can't eat because it's painful to eat. It triggers saliva and it burns really bad. Both jaw area are swollen and down to my neck. ER doctors prescribe antibiotics. It's also difficult to speak. I don't have insurance so I can't go anywhere else besides ER.

I have stage ,4, cancer I am on hormone treatment a shot every six months aggressive adenocarcinoma not in the bone I have a large swollen painless area in my armpit my PSA is now low my cancer is high risk swollen area is much largerbthan a silver dollar can prostate cancer spread up the lymph system to my armpit? I had two large tumors in lower lymph system. ?? what do you think? if it has spread to armpit what is the next destination?? bones ? organs? what is likely ? my next treatment radiation? chemo? please respond!

Good day doc I accidentally inhaled an excessive amount of perfume today, and instantly I started feeling excessive pain on a lymph node on the right side of my neck. It hurts alot when I turn my neck sideways Or if I swallow . The pain also radiates to the right side of my ear or channel from that lymph node area to my right ear . Please sir Could this be an allergic reaction or something else sir ?
