Didn’t exist yet. When the first season was written author had only written sample chapter sections. They basically threw together everything available. If they waited half a year there would have been more probably, but progressive material is newer and does not complete aincrad at moment.

This is what made SAO good. Real stakes, they are in a game that's was designed to kill you a lot and let you learn bosses through trail and error but now you die IRL. You're in a world with the odds against you. The moment everyone woke up from SAO is when the stakes were gone and all it was was kirito simping season 3. Being trapped in a game of death is what made this show great. Afterwards it was just a teen who cringingly took games to seriously. Glad to see more of the classic SAO

Alicization was literally trying to prevent a foreign country from acquiring the highest end AI made at the time and potentially weaponizing it alongside the fact that the people in Underworld are pretty much like real human beings and not to mention that Kirito was literally a vegetable for like half a season which goes to show how he isn't the all Powerful god who idiots think he is. ALO had Asuna trapped still. Gun Gale had a killer killing people irl and the mystery of how they're doing it was great. SAO haters are seriously so stupid the first season was great but the latter have much more depth and are generally more fleshed out especially Alicization.

Alisication: NPC are literal people, who die left and right, because of the games of gods (Us).

DUDE, i just noticed he gave her too many potions haha that's why asuna can holed up in dungeon for days. There's no Mito in the novels so it's not entirely explained how she can purchase her weapons and potions. Clearly the anime production team want to polish her story as character.
