@DJ DOOMHEM @DJ DOOMHEM Half Dive systems have been around for about a year or 2 and the concept for a while longer, but here's a prediction I made back when I was a freshman back in 2019. We are really close as it is to a full dive, but I believe if we want to achieve full dive, we would have to follow around the same direction as to how our body enters in REM Sleep (at least for the paralysis) Also I believe we would also have to include Electroencephalographic instruments to allow our brain to send out signals sort of like how keys on a keyboard would work ("move left" would have its own wave, same with "interact" or "move up")[This is a crucial requirement in full dive technology to prevent users on having the risk of the real world affecting your physical body while controlling the user in the virtual world]. This is stuff I believe is already possible if not then already in the works, but out of everything thing else that is already held in our reach there is the issue of "entering the virtual world." Because with our current technology we can already manipulate the senses of our body which allows us to create touch, taste, and even smells, but the issue follows sight because the nerve gear makes the user close their eyes in a paralysis state, the visor in the system I believe is just built for its own status interface before launching the game in the system (battery percentage, time, settings, etc.) Although I only have a small idea on how in the world something like that would work, I believe if we were to replicate our own version of the nerve gear's manipulation on sight, we would need to follow REM Sleep, physical effects, but not block sight, which seems difficult since REM literally is "Rapid eye movement sleep" which indicates we are not conscious at the time it's active, but with our current EEG technology we should be able to figure out a way to cut off our physical senses with a headband, but it's very tedious work to not only "turn off" the nerves the follow around our skin, but also "program" the new senses, but making the body recreate senses in another world would probably need to be scripted off of a whole new program and language, which will definitely take time to construct. But with everything else basically being re-programmed our eyes should remain the same, but have the "visor" of the headset follow the same capabilities of current day Virtual Reality. Thanks to Metaverses's investment and technology that is trying to redefine the resolution of their VR and even with Unreal Engine's new 5th engine, making things hyper-realistic should be a breeze. Although all of this is just my idea of anything close to a prototype, I have more ideas and I would love to help make one of these one days in the future, but there will be a lot of issues along the way such as eye strain, neuropathic disorders, or even high risks of brain damage on testing EEG technology, it's all very risky, but I don't believe it's impossible.
@kyxnn1612 жыл бұрын
@@Pexzel I completely agree with your estimate I would love to be apart of the production and research of BCI technology and especially Fulldive VR and AR.
@daytonpannell2 жыл бұрын
@DJ DOOMHEM Could do it quite literally like the OG Matrix movies. You have a plug at the base of your neck and when a plug is inserted, it intercepts the neural feed to your body and sends it to a computer. There, everything experienced by the mind would appear, feel, taste, sound and smell real. But the problem is because it would render your body paralyzed, you would have issues determining what is reality. Could have interesting implications for ACTUAL paralyzed people, giving them a way to live a more normal life. But like everything, at some point you gotta come back to reality.

If only man, if only, the authors explored the aincrad's story more, like we got through all the floor no timeskip. This would be the best anime up until now and this movie, about asuna's point of view, would hit really hard like REAL HARD.
@iqhmalRedux2 жыл бұрын
That's what progressive (the light novel) is. Movie seems to want to skip a bit though.
@sephidude1232 жыл бұрын
@@iqhmalRedux it's very likely that even then not nearly enough is going to be written about the 100 floors. Dan machi never rushes its 56 floors and while we still have not seen a majority of them save for a glimpse of 50-56 from Aiz' perspective, we are still being shown the transition between them and a steady progression through what each biome is like. In SAO though we got like 1-5 then boom 100 and the anime ends. That light novel better be like 1500 pages to account for every major milestone floor or at least take that time to explore a vast chunk of that missing content. Or it just wont do the concept all that much good in the eyes of the skeptical viewers
@iqhmalRedux2 жыл бұрын
@@sephidude123 The light novel for Progressive is still ongoing though so it might just be. Volume 8 was released last year and it covers the 7th floor.
