I shrieked when I noticed this in my sub feed, but thinking about it, this makes me feel a bit nostalgic, and takes me back to when the Soul Melter Medley was relevant. Light Meta S, and TNH teaming up and making Kirby rearrangements during the summer, didn't realized I missed this, and am confident that this will be great. (Also Light if you're reading this don't feel too bad about taking absences, I've always believed that you're a good example about long waits leading up to a great pay off.) Edit: Yeah of course this was great and then some, Love the creative liberties taken. Speaking of nostalgia that Meta Medley call back @ 1:52 tho. It really is like the old times. Awesome work. I've been listening to you since the C-R-O-W-N-E-D remix when you had like 460 or even just 46 subscribers, and I really quickly fell in love with your style, you were the first musician I really followed. Sadly I started listening to you less because of Real Life issues and the fact I started listening to Touhou music and that taking up so insanely much time. So it felt really good to listen to one of your newer things so early (I still gotta catch up on the Morpho Medley) Now to the part where I try rambling about this for way too long. I do sligthly prefer TNH's one but there'll be enough here for me to timestamp the hell out. I really like the from the intro, though I guess that's more of an Ogasawara win for adding that to MetaKnights theme and it sunding so much like a normal part of MKs theme. In general there's I think two big things I can notice about your music as I am still a little used to your early days. That being that there's a lot of medelyiness, like there's just many melodies thrown together (though I think this one jumps around less to only slightly related songs which I honestly really like, because getting a full final boss medley for every boss is a little extreme). And the other thing is that you have started doing A LOT more interesting stuff with the Melodies and instruments. Like after the main melody starts at around 0:35, the main melody is done by that guitar while the sub-melody-intermission-thingies at 0:40 and 0:46 are done by two different instruments. I really love that, it adds a really good level of complexity (and I just love pianos that play like that in the "background" while being major parts of the composition) Another example is what the trumpet does at the end of the melody around 1:00. And that happens everywhere around the melodies used. The section of 1:52 is also one of those tidbits that make the entire track really unique because of how much is going on. Just a few seconds it was a more intense track but then this section comes in with a more jazzy feel which makes the actually calm 2:20 section sound so in-place it is uncanney to switch between the start and this section because they sound like completely different tracks. Same goes with the short bit of FL Morpho Knight which somehow manages to fit right after the calm bit while bringing enough momentum back for the battle sections. Then we got that section of 3:30, I already mentioned everything I wanna mention about the intro but just gotta give credits to Jameson Mozelle for making the best out of a reused animation. I can barely imagine those transitions looking so smooth but he managed to match the two up perfectly, which sounds easy but looks way too impressive to not applaud it (especially because I know that can be hard). And after that we got probably my favourite section. I just love the trumpets doing this little trumpet thing of 3:40 (no clue what those are called). And in general the Trumpet and E-Guitar soundfont just sounds really well executed in these last sections. I just gotta say that the final section after 4:48 isn't as amazing to me as TNH's final section. So before I retire my fingers because writing this much is physically exhausting (also did one under TNH's video) I wanted to ask if you were in the mood to make the music for a little boss battle game I am making (scope is just a singular boss). I am still in the earlier stages where I can't tell how much I'll do for the project, but it'll probably take a while before completion as it is the first boss battle I am doing. I've decided to try and keep it simple by making it an Undertale-Style game where you attack and then dodge attacks in a set pattern so I don't have to deal with complicated boss behaviour, and then I got annoyed at it looking too much like Undertale and decided to make it 2.5D like Kirby, which is a big reason for the project probably taking a while (the other being that there's a GameJam going on soon and I wanted to try participating that one). It'd be really great to hear back from you (I've already tried reaching out via DruidPC because I know him a little over discord and heard you had some contact, and it gave me a good reminder to listen to his stuff, but I don't wanna annoy him too much so I am trying to reach out via comment here).
