FYI, a solo play supplement was the first stretch goal of the Kickstarter campaign, so it will be included. Second goal, also achieved, was a warband builder web app.

Oooo! this is more my jam! I kinda liked the look of Space weirdos but I'm much more of a Fantasy Swords and Bows girl, so this is more my speed :D

It's a fantasy skirmish game and so is Warcry. Mechanics are very different but you could use WarCry figures very easily with Sword Weirdos rules

How does damage work? Hit points? Something else?

There are no hit points. Each model is in a certain state of combat readiness: Ready, down, staggered, down and staggered, or out of action. Models that are down and staggered are extremely vulnerable, but may recover.

Sure, but probably only one big guy per side.
