@@antonbrown17 Pro players see Mystic Mine in the main deck and think "B R O K E N", forgetting that Mystic Mine was rarely a huge threat or an uncontested menace. It was just very annoying against specific match ups.

@@antonbrown17 well this particular version of swoso was played during one of the weakest mr5 formats, if not the weakest Bode swoso had protos and halqdon too, that was a pretty unfair deck, at least compared to pre snake eye stuff

@@antonbrown17 Swordsoul is super fragile and downright not strong, I'm not a competitive player but for this deck to be top of the meta, the meta must have been absolute dogshit considering we had stuff like sprights, snake-eyes and tearlements.

It's the duel OST for "Yugioh Power of Chaos: Kaiba the Revenge" *upon second listen, might be the match OST rather than the single duel OST. Either way, it's from that game.

Single Duel Losing Theme Tournament Duel Again, thank you so much, and I still have no idea why he doesnt list the source themes for the duels but lists every other theme he uses.

game 4 should have SSd ashuna first, dump it + droplet for droplet, summon vishuda with ashuna, crash into REDMD and bounce back savage. we knew the 2 negates so denying them would have been top priority. especially since you couldnt use those cards in hand. could have kept going into taia, dump adhara with taia, search longyuan, banish adhara to recover a tenyi and discard for longyuan for the standard board. D link only had borrelsword left and chixiau + chenying can easily deal with it

@@LexAnarchy nono. you dont shotgun the droplet (you never do, precisely because of release escape situations). you drop ashura + droplet#2 along moye at the same time, negate all 3 monsters, dodge the imperm as usual and then proceed with taia at the end

It hurts my heart for swordsoul tenyi. Going down as one of my favorite decks and play style. But to a great opponent because the same is said for dragon link.

I love the deck, but honestly never got why it was even chosen for the CBC. It dies to one, max two negates, doesn't floodgate outside of Protos, and otherwise is killed by nib if not early baronne (which hampers its plays) etc.

aside from Protos, SS never was some broken deck. It dies to Nib if you can't early Baronne, and it dies to one negate most of the times, and basically every time to two. I love the deck, but I honestly never got why it was considered so broken.

It's considered broken because of the non-engine Look at triple gamma, triple lightning storm, reboot, three copies of rivalry of warlords and three copies of anti spell-fragrance

@@youtube-kit9450Overall yes, there was no definitive strongest deck The only decks rivaling swordsoul were decks like punk combos and floowandereeze Which played the same non-engine Also scythe lock was everywhere This was between Ishizu Tearlaments format (the best deck in the game) and Unchained format These two decks would've definitely been top tier at that time

Wow that was a huge upset. Even the games SSoul won were super ugly. They never could seem to find their rhythm. Next matchup should be an easy walkover for DRuler. Plant Link just doesn't have the speed or power to win that.

I honestly never felt like Swordsouls aside from Protos were even that absurdly broken. They fold so often to one or max two negates and barely put up a fight if that one negate happens. Like, you have barely any plays if your normal summon (Mo Ye or Tai A) gets negated. And unless you get that early Baronne, the field dies to Nib.

Swordsoul could have won the 4th game. On resoultion of Moyo, send Moyo, Droplet, and ashuna to stop all of their negates, then combo off with Ashuna SS Vishua. Vishua pop itself in BP to bounce Dragon Buster, then full combo with Taia.

Cant send Ashuna from hand bcs of Arc Light, but yeah there's a line there like you said. Special Ashuna Ecclesia then Droplet for 3

Depends on die roll, but D link wins if they stop the access to protos. 2:15 that was monke not saying cause I knew the Swordsoul players hand he had access to it either way in gy you go imperm after the wrym lock due to the ashuna and then nib him, wtf was that? The imperm on the baxia was a neg.
