Evidence of Thomas' ability and willingness to play tenacious defense. Unrelenting determination. Quite rare for a player to have this much heart and skill. Foolishness and fighting aside, he was a joy to watch.

The days when the ball handler wasn't allow to carry the ball all over the court. So much better to watch.

When fools claim Isiah Thomas wasn't a good defender. The NBA year after year ignored his defense because him, Mo Cheeks and Mookie Blalock were the best on the ball defenders at the point guard spots.

Ryan, in my basketball Almanac, previewing the 1991 through 1992 season, it predicted that Isaiah Thomas would win one more title. Obviously, they got that one wrong, lol If the Pistons, particularly isaiah, had not had their injury issues in that 91 series with the bulls, do you think they could have held them off for at least one more year? And also, do you think there was any credence to the belief in that book from the writers that Isaiah Thomas would win one more title in his career, at that point (again, the book was previewing 91-92)? Thank you for your uploads, I've always been a Phoenix Suns fan, but I've had a side interest in the Pistons since watching isaiah, joe, and Grant Hill as a kid

Does this almanac mention the internal problems within the Pistons organization, losing Mahorn to the expansion draft in '89, the amendment to the Flagrant Foul rule, the broadcast rights moving from CBS to NBC, Jordan's teammates improving, or that the NBA is a business?

@bubufubu it's been decades since I've read it. I'll try to track down a copy for you, though🙏

1991-92: I just wish Thomas could have been this aggressive all season during the '91-'92 season, no James Edwards/Vinnie Johnson ... I just don't know why Thomas didn't just 'take-it' and do his own thing in '91-'92, instead, in my opinion, he kinda sulked after not being selected on 'The Dream Team' and that team with Thomas, Dumars, Laimbeer, Aguirre, Salley, and Rodman really couldn't play hard or compete for Chuck Daly after Thomas was left off that team and Daly was selected as the head coach. All that work Thomas put in, if it wasn't for Isiah Thomas, Chuck Daly would have NEVER won titles in the NBA -- you see it in New Jersey and Orlando .... I always look back and wonder how the Pistons would have done in 1990-91 had Daly just not been the coach and retired after 1989-90 when Vinnie hit the shot 00.7 in Portland -- Daly even said he should have just left after that season. Thomas should have just taken it vs. the Knicks in '92 and wasn't aggressive at all, didn't look to dominate Jackson, but look at Thomas in 1990 vs. the Knicks, he was aggressive and just pushing the ball and doing his thing vs. Mo' Cheeks and Mark Jackson, really abusing Mark Jackson in that series in the second round.
