The numbers are around 15% DOWN when marketing begins for a summer movie around the Super Bowl than compared to prior. Many factors cause this 1. Christmas & New Years period for a wide range of the world is proven to be the most viewed period for Movie & Game Trailers 2. Follow-Up Teasers at the Super Bowl revive interest in the movie for those who have already received a trailer. These are more successful for a movie’s interest retention 3. Collaboration companies often officially leak content from the new movie as they need to rework their strategies. Causing interest to lower in the final product of the movie 4. ^ This also prevents sales and time for merchandise to be promoted and sold such as Stationary, Toys & Merchandise. Sometimes they fall as high as 29% annually per movie release 5. The 8-9 month prior to release window is the optimal time for a first trailer. Hence why 82% of movies and companies release their first trailers within this window or around 6. There is no proven gain of interest from Super Bowl trailers. The only evidence we have for that matches the same interest level as to when you see the trailer in a cinema before the movie begins. There’s no noticeable difference in change Even with just those 6 points are enough to prove that promoting your first trailer at the Super Bowl, less than 5 months away, is insufficient from a marketing standpoint. Not to mention many other factors and irritations

Im actually really happy they havent had a trailer. The hype and mystery is all there. Im nervous and i hope they dont have hybrid dino ppl, but they learned from there mistakes. Dont flood us with trailers and give us all the good parts before the movie even comes out. Like If theres a jump scare or something, let us find out for ourselves. Don't be under any illusions, when the trailer comes out we will be bombarded with something from the film every week. on March 15th the merchandise will arrive in stores, and already there will be spoilers everywhere with toyline, lego and funko. There are no hybrids but probably another type of monster, more extreme from the merchandise rumours. The one without hybrids was Dominion, and we know how that went.
