That was a heartbreaker at the end. DK fell out of the up B. He lost the stock, the game, and the set all with that one move not linking into the final hit. It came down to last stock, last hit. That was a great set.

The launch hitbox of Ike's swing upb only goes up to his torso. DK was too high to be hit by that and just low enough to be hit by the bottom of the rising sword which has less knockback. If Tweek baired a couple frames too early and he would be low enough to get hit by the swing, too late and he would've been higher and possible into the rest of Ike's upb.

it hit dk's bair while moving away, so as would happen any other time, dk went into the damage animation at his body's position and was too far away for the launching hitbox to connect. yez got teased by the first hitbox connecting but in no world should the whole move have connected

Donkey Kong HAS been to space. In Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Nintendo Wii family of systems, after the final boss (SPOILER ALERT), Donkey Kong (and Diddy Kong if he's alive) will be thrown into space briefly wherein Donkey Longs natural ape instincts kick in and he punches the moon down to earth to instantly kill the villain which is basically a building or something. The moon goes back to its rightful position after (don't worry), being launched by a lot of bananas (how fitting)

It's so strange never seeing a single smash attack, side B, or grounded up B from DK. Tweek just doesnt just it. And in some instances I feel like the armor can just hammer through some of Ike's aerials. Of course, Tweek is a far better player than me and I know those moves are laggy but if you time the start up right you can just eat through plenty of attacks. Even catch a swordy off from a well timed F smash cuz of its reach.

Tweek is for sure the only S tier tourney winner seen so far in the uploads. Riddles, Myran, and Kola have taken A tier tourneys before or come close, and occasionally make upset wins on higher ranked PGR players. Everyone else would be lucky to make it out of top 64 somewhere like Frostbite.

actually it was not because of the slope. DK jumped just barely above Aether's initial swing, so he got hit with the rising hitbox instead. That hitbox is weak enough to where you can DI down to avoid the spinning part of the move, and in this case he was able to land on the platform and shield before Ike came back down, but even without platforms you can air dodge away. I just tested this and was able to recreate it on Battlefield. The rising hitbox has set knockback, so it can happen for any character and at any percentage, and it will never put Ike's opponent into tumble.

Hard disagree. They wanted to make him a more well-rounded character, and I would say they succeeded to a degree. In exchange for making nair a bit worse for kill confirms, they gave him a strong grounded option OOS (it was already fine, but the killing *really* helps). They reduced some of his aerial potency in exchange for a better ground game. It makes him less linear and more interesting to play with. All in all, I’d say it was a very good decision.

People underestimate DK alot, he's a low tier when you're a newbie and constantly letting yourself get knocked around the stage But when you know what makes him so bad for starters that's when you start to realize how much of a heavy hitter he actually is, his most useful moves are easy to land because of size, has a charge punch that can really put pressure if fully charged and his most used moves are fast to finish DK is one of those characters that seems weak if you don't get the hang of, but can be really good when you learn to cover his weak spots, alot like Sora
