well, not exactly. Dabuz probably thought that LeoN was going to steer right because then he would have a edgeguard situation. He got grabbed pretty far from the left ledge so he probably also misjudged how far Bowser's side B can move. So it was Dabuz's fault but more because of failing a knowledge check than incompetence.

Also note how Leon grabbed Dabuz from het left side on the 2nd stock, giving Bowser just enough to not hit the the stage. This isn't some mindless button mashing. Give Leon the credit he desrves.

Yep. It was actually a mixup. On battlefield bowser can go to the top plat or offstage. Dabuz had already been taken to the top platform earlier and probably assumed that was Leon’s intent the second time. It looks cheesy but it’s not as simple as it sometimes seems.

Bowsers up smash is one of the most satisfying moves in the game, and overall the love bowser got both aesthetically and mechanically in this game is so nice.

I think we can all learn from this no matter which character you play. LeoN did a fantastic job of getting in Min Min’s face and staying there. There was purpose behind all his jumps; he wasn’t just doing them out of fear. He would dodge attacks at the same time as coming in for his own. I also loved his use of whirling fortress to cover ledge options

Yeah Bowser is crazy strong and has Side-B cheese against characters with very bad recovery, but go try to play this dude against any of his bad MUs and see just how well Leon is keeping pressure on his opponents to be able to compete. Bowser in advantage is terrifying, but he has to work to get there and stay there. I main Greninja and Bowser hardly ever gets to play the damn game against me just because of how tilted the MU is in my favor, but when he gets in I die at like 70, which I take in about 8 seconds.

Bowser side B cheese isnt even good. Dabuz was at lower percent, he could have just held right and he wouldnt have died there. Bowser only has more control when bowser has lower percent. So dabuz had no business dying there, he just wasnt holding right for some reason.

Just started watching the vid :I imma be real American are all brainwashed by the meta and how they think a fighting game should flow. Bowser is a character that is slow but when the mixups hit from advantage state there is little you can do. smash is about creativity and tripping up your opponent, min min is a character with an extremely linear advantage state that's weak to being attacked from different directions. :I smash players brains are stuck in the flow chart meta I'm sorry

The person with lesser % controls the direction, so dabuz killed himself the first time. Also bowser will always die first, so you have to have earned a stock lead for it to work anyway. Also, most of the cast can usually make it back to ledge, he picked min min so it's on him lol.
