did some digging and found this "Vemrin then will kill Klemral. If you did not help Klemral, you will notice Vemrin yourself." so helping him is what got him killed

As far as I'm aware, he dies no matter what happens. If you play dark side, you kill him. If you play light side, Vemrin does. I guess maybe there's a way to save him if you choose neutral options but eh...

Love the series! I don’t understand Eskella . She pissed when she finds out you killed get father and then plans her revenge against you . Only to find out he isn’t dead, but plans on killing him anyways and exposing you regardless for not doing it in the first place.

Unfortunately due to the way SWTOR does alien speech, some of the time the subtitles are removed too quickly for me to speak them at the time. Would it help if the aliens speech had their own subtitles on the screen in a larger font?
