Great trip!! We've done similar destinations in vehicles, and on motorcycles, but have yet to traverse the great "U-P" on machines like this. Was there a clear winner between the SXS and Quad? Did you attempt to find more difficult trails or some further off the beaten path?

Thanks for watching! I'd say the SXS and quad both have their advantages/disadvantages but overall it was more comfortable in the SXS, plus having a bunch of extra storage is a plus. Regarding the trails, a lot of the trails we hit were technically "off the beaten" path, we hit some main proper ORV routes but also navigated various forest service roads that weren't used often. The service roads is where we found the sweet camp spots. Theres not too many difficult trails in Michigan in general outside of offroad parks, mainly deep mud and hills! Let me know if you have any other questions!

It was truly the best off-road & backwoods camping I've done to date. Can't wait to do the next one!

What setup are you using for your GPS
@fancypolak2 ай бұрын
Using a cheap android tablet (Headwolf brand off Amazon) with OruxMaps for the app and VVMapping for the actual trail data.

How many miles were paved?
@fancypolak2 ай бұрын
It's hard to exactly say but based off my track log and a rough estimate, maybe about 70-100miles or so was asphalt/paved. There's limited options on getting from south of newberry to Grand Marais and that whole northern section so you can't avoid it. Same with driving in to Paradise and going to Whitefish Point.
