It is offical Bankstown line will close from the 25th August for conversion works and also the plaza at Martin Place Metro Station Plaza (Southern End opened on Thursday night)

@@calexu1986it would make more sense if it opened a few weeks before the shut down. I think it would be too chaotic to start buses and metro on the same day. Once people get familiar with Sydenham station and the metro route, they’ll shut it down. Expect July opening id say

I saw this happen to today, at Chatswood I saw the metro going to Sydenham with people on it quickly the metro departs to Sydenham with the crew watching the metro. Then a normal metro comes and comes to Tallawong and one more metro comes going to Sydenham! I am sure it will open soon!

Ooh, thanks for the update Matthew, I’ve never really gotten a good video of the metro at Sydenham even as I go there all time because their testing frequencies were pretty bad. Now I can finally go and get a video of the metro at Sydenham. ❤ nice video

These trains will not have drivers or guards on board. They will have attendants that roam around different trains and stations throughout the day for customer service and safety.
