For those wondering about Mulan being in Smite despite not being a god/goddess. Smite characters aren't necessarily restricted to only gods. They're just characters from mythology in general. For example Bakasura isn't a god or anything of the sort. In Hindu mythology Bakasura is what is called a Rakshasa, which are just evil supernatural beings. Probably most similar to Japanese Yokai, which are supernatural entities and spirits that can be either malevolent or benevolent. I guess the difference here is Mulan in folktale is just suppose to be a normal human being, but she does use the power of Qi, which is the traditional Chinese belief of energy that's responsible for a person's life force. Think Ryu in Street Fighter shooting energy blasts.
