A lot of people complained about how it was unrealistic with the way she ate so much but seriously when one is exploring a place through food, it really is a journey and you usally have an empty stomach for it haha. I was in london for a few days and every day i ate about 7-8 times, and not just small meals. It helps to be travelling, moving around a lot which burns calories. This was a fantsstic episode ❤

I think The Bear is so good cause like Carmie is going through a very real and necessary character arc of letting love in during the most INCONVENIENT time for the business.
@zoc.69228 ай бұрын
Carm annoyed me so much this season. Syd is going above and beyond. She's putting so much trust in Carm. To the point where she could get taken advantage of. And he's just out wasting time. She doesn't have a profit share. She's deferring her payment for 6 months while Tina and Ebra are going to culinary school and still getting paid. She's there trying to convince Jimmy to invest more money into The Bear. And Carm is flaking on her & doesn't think to call her when he's reconstructing the restaurant.
@coolbeans59113 ай бұрын
100% this. People can hate on Sydney all they want, but they have to admit that she was super committed to the idea of The Bear and its developing process. She was the one to get Nat on board, she was spending time and energy creating and perfecting new dishes etc etc and she tried really hard to adopt the philosophy of her book in order to take control of her anxiety and prepare to become a better leader. She was open to Carm about needing his full attention as they are both partners in this and desperately needed this place to succeed, but literally every scene where she tries to discuss anything it gets interrupted and Carm fcks off somewhere else. He was distracted and irresponsibly so, especially considering he's "pissing out" Uncle Jimmy's money. I don't understand the rampant Sydney hate online while everyone is defending Carmy. He fumbled and ruined a relationship and now he's making everyone else's life hell for it

I can tell you lack experience with watching and analyzing a show. She's supposed to be new to the bear. The ebar is filled with chaos and trauma and to have someone who doesn't fit that mold but rather helps everyone find something new and reclaim their love is what makes the show wonderful.
@surette2012 Жыл бұрын
I think she’s a perfect character for this show. This show relies on ‘show don’t tell’ or natural reveals of character and exposition. She’s the new kid on the block that asks the natural questions that unfold the plot without it being monologue-y. She the first person to trust Carmy’s decisions because she admires him meanwhile the other characters were very rigid and stuck in their ways. Obviously, she’s connected to the restaurant. She’s coming out of a past where her own business tanked and this is her second chance to shine and partner with a Michelin man. She’s talented, but green and overly ambitious/bordering impatient and it makes for an interesting dynamic with the other characters. I’ll agree that the second season was trying to push the carmy romance with that girl and it kind of sidelined syd making her feel very second thought. I didn’t like that. She’s a passionate young female chef and It’s important to have her perspective. If she didn’t care or wasn’t connected she wouldn’t be building a menu for this restaurant or going on a food tour. I wish they showed the process of building the menu more tbh.
