As a Sydney supporter I'm sick of seeing them get to the Grand final and then get completely humiliated that's the second time John Longmire has fully under prepared the team leading into the biggest game when it happened against Geelong you could say it's a one-off but now seeing it happen again against Brisbane only a few years later is truly unacceptable & truly pathetic to be honest. They played like a bunch of gutless pea hearted cowards if we're going to call a spade a spade. They obviously learned absolutely NOTHING after the Geelong humiliation in the Grand final & they really need to get rid of John Longmire ASAP as Nothing will change unless you change the Coaching leadership and the losing culture in the big games. #FactsMatter

Well they got their answer with the final boss level last week against Geelong and were rewarded with a GF that was basically just a 4 quarter victory lap and a full circle tears to glory moment for the club

Absolutely no Sympathy for Sydney. Outside their top 6 or 7 Sydney are so ordinary.

Is the ‘bloods culture’ simply about getting smashed in Grand Finals?
@jeremyfranklin15109 сағат бұрын
2 possible scenarios depending on how people look at it. Brisbane managed to redeem themselves from last year's grand final loss against the pies. Or Swans played like absolute garbage.

As a hawks fan this is the result I wanted, I didn’t want port or geelong, but didn’t mind Sidney but really wanted brisbane

@POLARBEARS_ARECOOL_EDITZ Yep, I think Brisbane have become the second team for many Hawks fans. I guess because of the stoic, never-say-die Chris Fagan slogging it out since being appointed in 2018. And didn't he withstand some dire times 😳 THis year, his sixth season as coach - not bad!!👏 Also, the Hodgey connection. I'd rather Port had been Premiers than Sydney. I think that's the longstanding Burgoyne family connection. But yeah, after us, absolute best result for 2024 🏆

As a Swans supporter, congrats to the Lions for winning the flag. They played almost perfect and I hope you enjoy this year’s premiership as much as you can. But in regard to how we played, it was an absolute disgrace. We bottled it yet again and it’s just frustrating to see this after the amazing season that we had. Especially with seeing our Midfield and Forward line get exposed. We really deserve better after the beltings that we’ve endured in three of our past four grand final losses. Even with how I’m gutted and angry I am, I’m still proud of this season, but I really hope that the Swans never play like this in a Grand Final ever again. Here’s hoping that better days are ahead and I look forward to the day where we break our premiership drought with all of the composure in the world to do it. When we touch the trophy second, then I’ll certainly know that’ll be our day. Here’s hoping that 2025 will be our year ❤️🤍

@Flamingbro69 Yesterday just serves to show that ALL the sweat, intensive training and games of the Home and Away season, almost fade away to a ticking clock on GF Day. There's a surreal element to the game time. /Anyway, I thought your post here showed a lot of grace - despite your raw disappointment and heartache.

@bruce4130 But they had to keep winning the game until the final siren. Easing up was never an option.

Mind boggling what Lohmann is able to contribute from 75 % game time at the age of 21. Even more incredible is only 1 norm Smith vote. But the more perceptive of us watching on our TV's noticed.

Sydney had a beautiful season only to choke in the biggest match. The game was over at halftime.
@MisterSinister47 сағат бұрын
Just a reminder that Sydney were premiership faves even before the finals started and everyone likely had already tipped them to take the flag. Now you wanna hear something very ironic (and quite hilarious)? Brisbane won from being 5th on the ladder, the last time a team won the flag from outside the top 4 was in 2016 when the Bulldogs won it from being 7th on the ladder. Anyone remember who they beat for their flag?
