This is why I think more cricket stadiums should have retractable roofs, so that, at least in quick formats like T20 and The Hundred, and in leagues where matches can't be postponed, the match doesn't get abandoned. And also, I believe they should award the player just 4 runs if you hit the roof. After all, what's the roof but a form of boundary?

@@georgelloydgonzalez no, it should be left upto the third umpire to decide based on the trajectory of the ball. If it shows outside the boundary line, then it should be six or a dead ball. Also, This is possible in huge stadiums only like MCG or Narendra Modi stadium
