Hi Phil, thanks for another excellent video. More than likely, I would have ridden these between Sydney and Gosford in the 1970s, but I can't recall them that well. For most interurban travel for me from Sydney to Gosford, Blue Mountains and Wollongong, i can remember single deck carriages far more clearly. Keeping in mind that we moved from Sydney to Melbourne in 1981. Hence, as v set travel became more common, we more likely missed it. take care. Rob in Melbourne Australia.

Don't you just love the colour of and coverings on the seats. Pretty cool considering how old they are. I do love this intercity train ( edited I write do but AI keeps changing it to don't - AI obviously doesn't like trains!)

Hi Phil 👋 I really enjoyed this journey, and when I noticed how much your train was bouncing around, it reminded me of the same journey I did on a 10 car, Uset, many years ago. The Usets seats were extremely bouncy but comfortable none the less. What time did that service depart Central because I am considering a run to Newcastle soon before the Vsets retire. Excellent video, well done Phil

All are to be replaced by D sets with passenger services expected to begin in late 2024. So make the most of it the D sets will be sadly missed i have ridden on the over the past 30 years from 1985 to 2015 fantastic trains
