Absolutely stunning rendition. Sydnie had me weeping with her "Tomorrow" audition and breathless with "My Way." She's in a league with some of the greatest female singers ever. She reminds me of Judy Garland's (and Liza's) style with the rocket boosters of Whitney Houston. I have never rooted more for a contestant to win it all!!

The way Sydnie sings including tone, phrasing and power coupled with her undoubtable acting ability in beyond anything I have had the pleasure to see and listen too!! Sydnie's talent is so emmence it is truely mind blowing. In the space of 2 minute this lady touches and effects every emotion that I have. She is simply a superstar, and a very un-egotistical one at that.

Problem with "she will win", is that in shows like this, the best doesn't always win. I've been watching talent shows for many, many, years, and I've seen/heard a lot of great singers---she is the Best I have ever heard (IMO). Sydnie is extremely well-liked by the public, and her talent is off the charts. If she makes another great song choice, she "should" win. Side note: I've heard this classic Paul Anka song covered many times, and some are fantastic. But I've never heard anything like this---Absolutely STUNNING!!!!! Let's Have It!

Sydnie intentionally turns "my way" into "my highway" (at 2:28) which magnifies the message by turning a road or pathway into a highway. In doing this, she is saying that she is not only personalizing the song, but is taking it significantly further than the original in her own life. I have heard many people express that this aspiration was a mistake, but it is clear that they are not understanding what I think is an intention message. Sydnie also personalizes the song by changing the gender to her own (4:15), which has a profound affect as well.

It’s unbelievable. I have listened to it several times now and it’s just jaw-dropping. Her control, her musicality, timing and those vocal chords are just amazing. Sadly it isn’t always the best that wins when the public decides. I don’t think she needs to worry about west end casting, nor the prize money because she is going to be snapped up as a recording artist (if Simon hasn’t snapped her up himself). She made me think of Shirley Bassey. Not in her sound but in the power, charisma and total showmanship. I can’t wait to see what she does on Sunday night. ❤

The show is a real variety show, and all the finalists are talented and skilled in their own disciplines. If Sydnie doesn’t win, it won’t be due to her. She has been magnificent. It will be because we tend to vote away from singers for lesser seen variety acts.

Liza Minnelli - exactly!! I was getting Judy Garland vibes from her last performance, so much so that I thought "Somewhere over the Rainbow" would be a good song choice. Although I think it would be interesting to hear her "make it her own" like these last 2 songs, I don't think it has enough pizzaz to showcase her vocal talents. I also get a Barbra Streisand energy from her. Can't wait to see what she picks next!! Loved the reaction!

A mixture of Liza Minelli in her low to mid range, and Celine Dion in her powerful high belts. A fantastic performer -- and one that can be very successful in her field (unlikely to be pop music, however). I predict a Christmas song/album is almost a given, partly due to the surname and the free marketing it provides, but particularly with her old-school placement and vowel choices. O Holy Night will be on that album for sure, and she would blow the roof off with it, just like Celine did. (The run and breathiness on the first 'I did it my way' was admittedly, probably, not how she intended it to come out -- but she carried on and when there was doubt, she proved she could chew it up and spit it out in the end).

Liza no, she’s much better. She’s makes a trio of power & uniqueness with Barbara & Celine. They all possess a magic you can’t learn, power that seems impossible, emotion in their voices, each has a tone specific to them only and all have a tangible connection with the audience. It’s a rare combination, Whitney had it too.

Great reaction, but I'm commenting just with a quality-of-life tip, of sorts. If you want to back up the video just a smidge, like to replay a dramatic part of a song, high note, etc., just use the left arrow key on the keyboard. It'll back up the video exactly 5 seconds each time you press it (tap it twice for 10 seconds, and so on). Using the mouse to drag the progress ball thing is much less consistent. Anyway, yes, Sydnie is nuts, in the best way imaginable! Powerhouse is right!
