Samantha, you and I are so in tune today! Someone commented on this official video saying "No West End, No Broadway---World tour and TV. Need more Sydnie." I had to reply. "At her BGT audition she said she was trying to be on the West End. And I hope she handles her career "her way" and doesn't "bite off more than she (wants to) chew" trying to please EVERYONE." We all need more Sydnie. I, too, will support her choices!

I agree. I felt like she realizes now that she's reached a new crossroads - West End/Broadway or recording/concert artist? First album to be released Oct. 6. That ought to tell her a lot about where & how far she can go. I LOVE her! Still can't get enough. Listen to her sing every day.

@@PamelaPyle-bg1iy I don’t see why she can’t do whatever she wants. Petula Clark and Lulu were both able to be in the West End, record and tour. It’s a matter of finding balance. Petula is 91, Lulu is 75, and still growing strong.

I think she wanted to start her recording career after BGT by singing something familiar to her. She appeared in this show in Germany for 4 years in various “Swing” roles, but I don’t know if any of those roles had her singing this song.

Her vocals here are incredible, as per her norm it seems. She's just amazing. I wish she smiled more here - her smile is so endearing! Samantha, you may be right on your critique of this song, but I get a whole different take on this video. I think she is singing a love song to Max. To Sydnie, Starlight Express is Max, and she is asking is he real, is he true, or is he just a dream. She wants him to be real, she wants him to be true. She wants him to go to all these places with her where she’s never been. And she changed the last lines to Starlight Express are you near starlight express I need you to be here. She wants Max to let her know that wherever all this goes, he will be there with her. Might just be the dreamer in me. lol. No matter what, it’s a beautiful song and she did another stunning performance.

​@robinabbott5653 ... Its my understanding that studio recordings are nearly always of better quality, clearer, than performances that are recorded live. I'm unfamiliar with the lyrics in the other verses of "My Way". Is it possible that she just didn't "connect" as much with them, or maybe they tell a bit different story? Personally, I'm totally okay with it as is. I love it all. I mean, if its sound & it comes out of her mouth, I'm good with it. 😊❤

Way too much theatrics that was not necessary. The lighting made her face look weird. The studio added way too much electronics. I have viewed her Instagram videos and this girl is as close to pitch perfect as one can get. I have also seen a phone recording where she is now doing these BGT one off outdoor venues forcing her to sing Tomorrow. She deserves much more than that. Sydnie is so powerful that she probably doesn’t need a microphone 🎤! Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?
