I am a Malaysian and a Proton car owner. I think the problem regarding delivery and price hike of Proton cars are not related to Proton Malaysia. Its the problem of the Pakistani company that manages Proton there or maybe because of corruption. Because we cant find this kinda problem in other countries that purchase Proton cars. Can be settled if the company is changed to another company.

3:17 Al Hajj group Already converted that PKR in US $ so I don't know why they demand more from their customers. i am a small business man but I always keep my savings in Saudi Riyal. why Saudi Arabia currency because it's fixed with US $ (3.75).

I booked x70 premium in Jan 2021 for 49lac price and now after 18 months on Jun 26 they send me letter to pay balance payment on 63 lac price tag. They holded and used my 9 Lac booking amount for 18 months and God knows how many people suffered the same. Now I'm in no mood of paying for 2 price hikes and likely to cancel my booking with heavy heart as I loved to get this car. I can still pay what they're asking but doesn't feel right so after such a long wait, I finally give up. SHAME ON AL-HAJJ GROUP

thats true, last year in august one of my relative was interested to book proton saga ace model from peshawar, he deposited the initial amount and still the company was not clear about the delivery date , he was in need of the car , though It was a bold decision to buy such new company car in Peshawar , as here people are lover of toyota and then honda. so due to company un clear stance, he cancelled the booking and bought used corolla GLi 2015 automatic model which was driven only 47k very clean car at cost of 24.50 lac ... and believe me that car is mashallah so good no extra work except regular oil change. i also agree with your statement about their fishy marketing gamic and non professional business strategy. and yes people will tend to buy expensive cars like yaris and honda city if such new commers carry out their businesses like that. in my opinion the biggest reason is Al haj group as they were already running FAW motors which were also flopped in the market. they should learn from changan alsvin and kia motors etc.

The prize hack is not only the problem of proton but also the others motor industries. Yes, proton should not increase the prize for those who booked the car atleast one year of the gap. But it is also true that the prize difference with yaris and city is obvious and seen very clearly. It is cheapest in comparison of them.

I witnessed so many of my friends applying for new vehicles on ownership or lease, the process is so smooth and relaxing that you get your vehicle in one to two days (on hand or delivery)... I have heared the same about UAE and Qatar... such a discouraging situation in our home country...

Al Haj is a purely criminal group. Period. Faw V2 customers are regretting their purchase big time. Many sold their cars with huge losses. Always look at the parent company before investing or purchasing expensive goods. Kia was an instant success because many trusted their parent group (Lucky). Isuzu D-Max is an excellent pick-up truck but many still opt for Hilux because overwhelming number of potential customers don't trust its parent group, Ghandhara Industries, because of their experience with Nissan Sunny.

It's not just Proton, Kia is same, I made full payment (2.1 million) for manual picanto on Dec 31, 2021. They gave me tentative delivery time of May. In the mean time price went up twice. Kia reached to me few weeks back and said in order to get delivery, I need to pay addition 5 lac 54 thousand. Otherwise no delivery. That circular when there is a price hike, where they say that new price is not applicable on customers who made full payment and those peeps who made partial payment if they make balance payment now and the price hike will not be pass on them is a total BS. And I am still waiting for my car to be delivered, this mafia deposits your cash in corporate account with high interest rates. I would have been far better if I had purchased the car on Own but I wanted to do it the right way. Pakistan is rotten to the core, top to bottom corrupt people. We are not fixable.

Alhamdullilah we ordered our Proton Saga in May 2022 and got it in July 2022 with no hassle apart from the extra 115,000. However, the value of the car after registration is still profitable so overall we are happy. My advice is that if any other new companies come to Pakistan in the future, wait a bit and see what their reviews are for the first batch.
