@@ewelinanajgebauer8862 The father was French. He moved to Poland at the age of 16 and lost connections with his country of birth. Fryderyk was raised as a Pole. As an adult, he moved to France and - mostly because of political reasons - stayed there, eventually obtaining French citizenship. However he remained close to the community of Polish people living in exile. He never considered himself French and it's said that he never felt comfortable speaking French language. In conclusion, although he had some ties to France, he is considered 100% Polish.

So apparently, this is the source of the Polish EAS Alarm from 1939. Apparently it was never used as an alert signal, but rather a radio station jingle that would be played at certain points.
@damerioplays54452 жыл бұрын
Correct. This was used by the antenna "Warsaw 1" Untill they changed it in 1935 to the jingle people think is the old "Polish EAS", Which are actually notes from the Polish Army Anthem. The Polish Army blew up Warsaw 1 mid-war because they didn't want the germans to take the emission antenna. This is the jingle used in "Warsaw 2" (which was the one where people mostly tuned in after Warsaw 1 was blown up) and in the Warsaw invasion, after this jingle, they announced the invasion of Warsaw.
