What a great video. YOu're literally living in their home. Amazingly resourceful people, very challenged but they maintain such a positive attitude. It's not only the economic challenges that they face but all of the war and sadness the whole country had endured for the last 200+ years from foreign elements. I really admire the Vietnamese people. Think about it Syifa, you're their only customer that day and they had to work so hard to earn your money. I also admire your attitude, very generous and understanding, your joy and shared value was very clear to her so that's why she was happy with you. I lived in VN for 10 years and saw great open-minded tourists such as you that enjoyed their trip so much and made friends and I also so those that are suspicious and condescending as well. I hope you will continue to enjoy your trip in VN and wherever else you will go in the future.

Syifa- your personality is magnetic, your presentation fantastic. You are capturing the life in its beauty despite the poverty if there be any in places so beautiful. You made the right move in making films, and what makes you special is ~ you don't make yourself a tourist but rather immerse yourself in all the footsteps of people you meet n interact with - keep smiling, keep shooting awesome journeys... watching your films is like a thousand journeys compressed in 15min slots.

Wow Teoma, your comment is such a blessing to me. I was down this morning because of some random person’s comment about my work and you brought back light to my spirit. Thank you, so very deeply and so very much. This is the most rewarding thing a creator can get from someone who appreciate the art we create. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@Te-rt7bq5 жыл бұрын
@@SyifaAdriana --- the one negative comment you might have had this morning, convert it to a positive and let that be your creative license to express as you see where you walk. Don't lose heart over it - for instance your bike ride showing the mountains in the horizon layered in tones of blue ... well ...your "smile" alone... described this intensity of beauty in front of you, i absorbed as much as I could...and stopping before the two little boys on the bend of road was just so perfect...the time length you focused on them... gave a deep glimpse of another life. You add the moments that go unnoticed - your style is different and its a breath of fresh air to see thru your eyes. Keep on keeping on.

Have you ever tried a veggies restaurant in Vietnam? I think there are more veggies restaurants in Saigon than anywhere else in Vietnam. There are 3 types of veggies restaurants in Vietnam: the first one is for profit like any other restaurant. The second one is semi profit, and the last one is for charitable restaurants. The semi profit and charitable restaurants are often owned by a Buddhist owners. At the semi profit restaurants, you eat whatever you want, and pay whatever amount that you like. They welcome all types of customers. The charitable restaurants serve the poors and don't ask for money. On your way out, there is a donation box. You can put whatever amount of money in there. No body is looking or checking you. You may think the charitable restaurants probably serve ordinary veggies foods and may not be not good because they are for the poors. You will be surprised to know that the foods at all 3 types of restaurants are out of this world. I am a meat lover, but I changed my mind and my attitude about this world after I ate foods at all 3 types of restaurants in Vietnam. It is amazing to find out the Vietnam is probably the only country in this cruel world has these types of restaurants. Give it a try. I think you will like it. By the way, there is no beers or fancy drinks serve at the semi profit and charitable restaurants. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXemdIWfiq9lY9k

there are many boat people really , early boat people are Chinese who cant do business anymore ( Vietnamese too , diffirent is Chinese mainly doing business in the south they don't do farm or other job so they was the most hard hit , Vietnamese too but compare to the entire population it small vs Chinese population in south Vietnam ) then Vietnamese follow ( who either dislike the govt or ex south Vietnam regime worker /soldier ) but the later boat people ( 1980s ) are economic mostly ( Vietnam was dirt poor dual to embargo ) my grandfather sister are boat people they didn't flee cause the govt , they flee cause economic reason ( 2 war , in the north vs china , in the south vs Khmer rough genocide regime ) economic sanction destroy Vietnam economic in the 1980s that why many country start to return boat people after 80s cause they are not true refugee , I my neighborhood there are few who was send back or volunteer back In the 90s , about Chinese writing we used Chinese writing style befor our now romance script ( it call Chu Nho ( tradition Chinese ) and the Vietnamese kanji call Chu Nom that Chinese can read but cant understand ( new word creat for some Vietnamese word , 1 letter for the sound one for the meaning , it super complicate that why in 1945 Vietminh chose Quoc ngu ( Romanize alphabet ) cause it easy and fast to learn compare to Nom ( which you have to learn tradition Chinese then the new Nom word and how it work ) and at that time we need a way to spread information to the mass ( farmer ) so Quoc Ngu was chose to become the national writing system replace the Nom and chu Nho ( tradition Chinese writing )

Because of your videos I have seen many different cultures among us that means Mongoloid. Do come to Tripura State, India. Among us Mongoloid Tribes, if the Government allow us to travel without any documents, to any Mogoloid Country or State. It could be so so good. Learning different cultures, language, food habit etc.
