As a Dutch production engineer, happily lost in the Swiss "precision Belt", a video like this brings a happy smile on my face. Groeten uit Zwitserland!

I am so looking forward for the EDM update !! I am still in the process of scratching my head about building an EDM machine.

Thanks for video,you explain a lot with the installation, I think Syil should do video what to do step by step before run machine.

I encounted the same issue with the post processor in F360 - untick the preload tool box on the post page and that will fix it. love your work and your video was great . Cheers Chris

Had the same issue with a china milling machine at work, the post processor had "Preload tools" enabled, just checked that off, and it was all good.

Glad you were able to do the troubleshooting regarding the post. Sure would be nice if Fusion mentioned the limitations.

Just a tip. Lathe center drills are not the same as a spot drill. You would be better off to use your chamfering tool as a spot tool or getting an insert version. The center drill is for making a hole to be used with a lathe center.

Here's a tip when running a part for the first time, put your rapid feed as low as you can and keep your hand on the feed knob, always start the program with the feed at 0. Slowly increase your feed until you're confident with the program. This is much better than having your hand on the e stop because you can stop the machine from moving whenever you want.
@JeffreyBuilds2 ай бұрын
The Syil has a feature where you can turn the handwheel to make it move forward and backward through code if you unsure including rapids. There is a Titan of CNC video on it.

10mm air hose should be more than enough for that machine. I got a five axis and 2 three axis machines, a LANG stamping unit, four air blow guns and a pneumatic tapping machine all hooked up to one 10mm hose, has worked like a charm for over two years

Looks like a pretty nice milling machine and your vacuum fixture plate turned out great. At 17:45 - As a machinist I would advise you to try and keep your skin from contact with cuttingfluids. It's near impossible, trust me, I know! :D
@x_ph1l Жыл бұрын
About air pressure sensor - the flow might be restricted by long 10mm tube going from compressor. This might be fixed by running much thicker hose from the compressor almost right to the CNC, and then restricted right at the CNC air filters location. Also that draw bar intensifier oil tank really wants to have clear acrylic window for easy monitoring. Aaand you might want to look at Pierson Workholding pallet system, which would be awesome to mount any fixtures and even vice on, to be able to quickly switch between jobs. IMO, it is a must have for a CNC machine that will be used for small scale production and design work.
@gorak9000 Жыл бұрын
Could probably also fix the problem by putting a small reservoir air tank close to the machine if it's too hard to replace the whole air line. The reservoir will keep the pressure up while the long 10mm line recovers.

@@gorak9000 or, probably, the dumbest solution would be to put a needle valve to a tube that's going to draw bar cylinder. But it's not stupid if it works, right?

Congrats on the machine and nice work with the vacuum fixture. Vacuum is one of the most underutilized forms of work-holding IMO. Careful with the 735. It’s great coolant, but can eat away your paint especially if it’s too strong. I am running it in several different CNCs at work for 3 years, but I am going to bite the bullet and change it to a different coolant because it’s slowly eating the paint. Many users in my town are changing away from it too now.
@baxedm9806 Жыл бұрын
Eats the paint?... sjeez.. To which coolant are you going to switch?
@misterwilling Жыл бұрын
@@baxedm9806 we are switching to Blaser B-Cool 755
@andrewmasters178 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I ran Blaser 735 and found out the hard way that it eats zinc and copper as well as some paints as others have mentioned. We run 50% alum and copper parts but noticed a blue green residue on the copper chips or staining on the copper parts if you left the 735 coolant on them for too long. Try a test with some coolant in a cup and a copper part. Also, many of the fasteners in our cnc machines had zinc plating and we noticed a crusty white residue accumulating on those parts. We switched out to the Blaser BC25 SW and now no issues with zinc or copper or paint.

If it becomes a problem you could have an air reservoir next to the machine, linked with a short length of larger diameter tube, to cope with short demands of high flow during tool change?
@ilya_pl Жыл бұрын
A very good video, but you can learn more about connecting the installation with a coolant. The machine is also Syil X7. I'm new to milling, so I may not know many things...

Nice, as usual. Congratulations. As you probably already know, most of the problems in stuff is firmware or software. The firmware is usually more thoroughly tested, the software, not so much.

Regarding the air pressure requirements for the drawbar , I wonder if instead of replacing the whole line , you can fit air tank next to the regulator…and a 12 mm line from that tank to the regulator

Maybe it's a good idea to prove your programs using single block, watching distance to go and slowing rapids way down. Just sending it and hoping to be fast enough to press feed hold is just waiting for a crash to happen. One day you forgot to input your tool lengt or whatever, and te machine crashes before you know it, so it's best to carefully prove your programs. Crank rapids and feedrate way up on the second part.

What type of pump system are you using for the vacuum? I'm wanting to setup a vacuum chuck but don't feel like spending 1400. Nice machine btw!
@gorak9000 Жыл бұрын
You can get cheap but decent-ish vacuum pumps for about $60 that are meant for doing automotive A/C evacuations. In a vacuum chuck, you shouldn't have a lot of flow - you're just evacuating the area between the part and the chuck once.
