Hi! "Stan" is a verb term used in Kpop meant to say that you like and align yourself with a certain group or group member! Think of it like another word for "bias" except in verb form! :D So for example, "I STAN TWICE" means that I really like TWICE :) Or in its noun form, "I'm a TWICE stan" meaning that I'm a fan of TWICE :D In your friends' case, they're saying that you should listen to GOT7 or KARD and consider having them as a bias! :D Hope this helps!

That was a pretty helpful video to me since I'm new in this whole world of k-pop. Also, I found this part of music by the internet and not by my friends but often I'm afraid to ask if I don't understand a more or less specific term because sometimes the answers are exactly nice, more like You have to know this, otherwise you're not a fan! Though, I actually knew most of the words because, of course, I use Google too when I don't understand something, but it's not everytime simple to find an answer. For example, when I tried to understand what bias meant, all I found for a long time where huge conversations about bias lists etc.

Hi! "Stan" or "Stanning" is another term for a bias, or biasing someone! Like for example, "I am a Jihyo-stan" or "I stan TWICE" It's basically saying that you like a particular group or member of a group! Hope this helps :)

i thought the term "bias wrecker" meant a member of a group that you heavily despise while "bias" means that the member of the group is your favorite (I mostly listen to English pop music and EDM so i was new to K Pop but i like all genres equally you shouldn't judge music by its language)
