Known for their lively bluegrass, Sylamore Special is rising in the world of Ozarks music. In 2022, they were crowned Arkansas Country Music Awards New Artist of the Year, and in 2023 they represented the Ozarks at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C. For this performance in the Smithsonian’s Arts and Industries Building, the band consists of siblings Mary Parker (fiddle, vocals), Gordon Parker (mandolin, dancing), Turner Atwell (guitar), LillyAnne McCool (banjo), and Crystal McCool (upright bass).
