Sylar Saves Peter's Life | Heroes

Sylar (Zachary Quinto) follows his father's orders and throws a de-powered Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) out of a window - but when Peter survives against all odds, there's only one possible conclusion: the villainous Sylar saved Peter's life.
From Heroes Season 3 Episode 7, "Eris Quod Sum": Tracy (Ali Larter) and Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) try to save themselves from a dangerous Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy). Meanwhile, Sylar (Zachary Quinto) is tasked with saving Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) from Pinehearst. In Africa, Hiro (Masa Oka) is still searching for answers whilst in California, Elle (Kristen Bell) approaches Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) and asks for her help to control her powers.

Peter losing his powers was the worst writing decision that happened to this franchise. I’d like to meet the people who came up with idea and those that green lighted the idea so I could kick them each right in the groin.

I think the horrible script change was due to the fact that there was a massive writers' strike at that time. Which left many series with horrible endings, like Lost, look for it, you will surely be surprised.

He gets them back but we arent shown how. He has to scar his face first cuz that can only happen without regen. I read somewhere once that the scar was an accidental screw up with hiro’s sword & we know peter is useless for teleportation (he ends up in the bathroom instead of the livinv room on one occasion) so my headcanon is he beamed over to hiro’s for tea & knocked the stupid sword over 🤣

It's worth remembering that Heroes was on during the writer's strike of 2007-2008 and was arguably among the hardest hit by it. I'd argue all the worst decisions of the show came as a result of the strike.

Why didn't Arthur take Sylar's powers - Is he afraid of the hunger? I don't get why he would be afraid of it, since he doesn't have problems killing people.

Just a guess. He doesn't think he needs it. It alters his personality and he can already do something similar. Arthur believes himself above most people and likely finds the hunger would dampen his cunning and detached mind which has gotten him through his life so far including war.

I dont exactly dislike the idea that pater loses his powers. Hes as powerful as sylar and thats a problem. (if he ever acquired the hatians powers no one would be able to stop him). I would have prefered a less harsh debuff then just being able to only do one power at a time later.
