A really useful tip for particularly current meta Sylas is that, because champs with movement abilities can easily dodge q2 and it's what you want to max first, a consistent way of hitting q2 is to hit e2 straight after casting q. This knocks up the opponent and almost guarantees that q2 hits, dealing a lot of damage early. The combo you will typically use this in is e-q-e2-aa-w-aa-aa after hitting Lv3. Hope this helped some Sylas players struggling with dps early :)

Welp i guess there are just diferent ways of playing sylas but as a sylas main, w and e are way better skills than q, and should be the q the one that supports landing the e, the reduced cd on w and e are way better than just a easy to dodge q2, to be honest i always max q last. But as i said, diferent ways of playing syles and if u are maxing q first yeah, q instant e for q2 is a good combo

@@NaagiESV I used to be the same, but with fleet footwork and maxing q first wave clear is a lot easier and you can poke better. Because of the better waveclear you can go glp instead of protobelt which works way better and lets you build straight into damage as glp gives mana while protobelt does not. The build based around maxing q gives a lot easier snowballing potential and slightly better early splitpushes which is why its used constantly in high elo and pro play and why he's generally considered a high tier midlander right now.

@@xx5144 True. Also it’s not that hard to hit Q consistently. Just Q when they’re taking minions and you’ll chunk their HP down. Sylas is also kinda weak in the early game, so by maxing Q first it’ll give you decent poke damage, and combined with corruption pot you can easily out sustain a lot of champs.

8:11 This combo makes so much sense, but it's not easy to think about because it's so obvious. Sylas used Lee Sin's R + Flash combo to kick Lee into Sylas' team. Because stolen ultimates work almost always exactly the same way they normally would, you can make Flash and buffer input combos as if you were playing that champion. I knew that Sylas had an insanely high potential for skill expression, but this video made me notice that it was a lot higher than I thought.

Sylas probably has one of the highest potential skill expressions because of his ult,since the better you are at the game overall the better sylas will be with it due to your knowledge An adc main will be able of abusing stuff like ezreal ult and lucian ult,a jungle main will abuse lee insec and teamfight ults,if you are a jack of all trades player that does good everywhere sylas has the most potential in the game i believe

Another tip to hit q detonation, use ur e2 knock up to keep them where the q detonates. So use q on the enemy and then e2 immediately so u cc lock them in q detonation.

I was OTP too, but i stopped when they removed the shield from his E together with other changes. I moved from Sylas/Azir OTP to Kled/Azir OTP. Sad changes :(

Some good tip for sylas is also to remember that many tank supports have huge ap scaling on their ultimates, so u can steal it not just for the cc but to oneshot backlane

Tip: Sylas' e1 is much shorter than its indicator. It is shorter than Ekko's e1, but a bit longer than Aatrox e. This means it can jump any walls that are about the same thickness as the raptor ramp wall. Sylas' e2 however, is quite a notable bit longer than its indicator.

and another small tips is that when u E2 to a person after aaing u would ofcourse looking to Q while u think opponent will back off u can aim ur Q2 a bit behind them to take away their escape path or Q2 further to predict their flash

One thing to mention aswell for new sylas players : you're weak vs a lot of control mages pre 6 so make sure you give up cs if you have to. Just stay healthy and keep up on xp. Your wave clear is pretty bad early but your first item is pretty cheap and you spyke hard lvl 6 if you picked him VS the right team. She's kinda like akali early game : low kill threat but insane two items spyke but has a better skirmishing potential
