One of my cousins does this for a living. And he's EXTREMELY talented at it!!! He's been doing it for about 35 years, and he's sold his art for quite a lot. He lives quite humbly, for the money he makes. For the most part, he gives most of his money to charity.

Back in the ye old days when people properly appreciated this craft the craftsmen only had to think about candles fitting into their works. Nowdays the craftsmen have to be mindful of pathways for electricals when they want their pieces to function.

The overwhelming majority of Murano (etc) glass is so gaudy! I don't understand how people can put something so ugly in a living space.
