We had this last year with Biman. We had to pay extra and remove things as well. If you are travelling with BD Biman, do not go over your luggage allowance, they may forgive 1kg but nothing over that. That flight carries hundreds of passengers, if everyone did this, then the plane would be overweight and the fuel is calculated based on this, risk of crashing. Biman is very strict with baggage allowance now. I had the same situation last year and said, never will I take anyone stuff home, I will only bring my stuff.

Sorry sister. I have to disagree with all this. It is irresponsible and unreasonable to turn up to the airport knowing you are over your luggage allowance. There is an allowance for a reason and passengers should stay in their limit. You appear to find it amusing. You had to rejoin the line multiple times this delays the check in process for everyone and is very inconsiderate.

I was single passenger RTN to LHR I was over my luggage allowance but I paid 48000 taka to release my goods 01/09/23 but had no complaints or issues because I knew I was over my allowance.

Baggage allowance for a reason, nowadays u can get everything every where i dont know why people get so crazy to bring things from bdesh. Also when people give u mosa massi, definitely stopped doing that. People can be very inconsiderate not understanding that it puts u in uncomfortable situations. Also u said some one said they can manage 10kg for u. If u have extra u got to pay simple.

Last time i went Bangladesh, coming back i weighed my luggages outside the airport before going in and it was below the limit, at the check in the airport crooks were telling me one of the luggages was over the limit and showed me in the desk, im not sure what they did but they somehow managed to add weight to my luggage, anyway i was contesting this and told them i literally weighed the luggages myself before coming so i dont face issues such as this, they weren't budging and kept on telling me im holding up the line and trying to put pressure on me saying this loud so the other passengers hear it and get annoyed with me, then the passenger waiting behind me started to have a row with them because he understood what I was saying. At the end i had to pay otherwise they threatened me by saying they will not put this luggage on board, so i paid around 4000 taka, afterwards the police man who knew my uncle told me i shouldn't have paid them as ill never get the money back, he told me you never give these guys any money specially when your not in the wrong. Anyway that was my last experience and it was dreadful. Scumbags

There was also another young British guy at the desk next to ours and they tried to do the same with him and he wasn't having it, they all came together and bullied him and put him back on the queue.
