Rocky has been more than a movie character to me. More than a mentor. He was like the father I never had. I learned more from this man than most people I ever knew in real life. He’s kept me fighting through some of the hardest times of my life and after 17 years of chronic illness, he’s still a huge part of that fight every single day. Stallone is a real life super hero.

Sylvester has come a long way from very humble and bare beginnings. Anyone who could've witnessed his past life and struggles would not think he would succeed by any hint of the imagination. He kept at it despite the doubts and fears, obstacles, and detours, and rejections setbacks, and never stopped going after what he wanted. He didn't exactly get what he wanted. He got unexpectedly more than what he wanted and needed. Success will appear when you least expect it IF you never give up.

Sylvester Stallone has come a long way. The series of advice that he has given here has inspired me to keep living, learning, and working in spite of my learning disabilities, speech impediment, and leukemia. Plus, I'm also glad that he mentioned that sometimes quitting is necessary when you are pursuing something, and you are constantly failing where it becomes a dead end. Then you pursue something else. When one path doesn't work for you, move onto another path. Mr. Stallone, thank you for your words of wisdom.

This man keeps giving us a lot of reasons not to give up, not to surrender. A talented man who believed in himself in a hostile world and succeeded, he is just a legend. And once again, I feel relieved and willing to overcome struggles after listening to what he has to say. It doesn't matter if he is talking genuinely or playing a role. What matters is his message, and that's a message of truth, and hope and strength. It's not over until is over. We didn't hear the bell, everytime we'll be cornered and on our knees, let's just remember that we can still fight for one more round. Thank you, Sylvester. You're such a legend.

It’s remarkable how down to earth this guy really is. Most of the other Hollywood stars ended up bragging about their success when they talk about the topic. That’s how off they are and they can’t help it that it’s really wide spread. Yet this guy tells us it’s ok to change course as long as we keep challenging. How great is that as the advice for life. LOVE LOVE LOVE what Sylvester Stallone says about quitting! Never heard anyone else present it through that lens and think it is profound. We do all know what we’re supposed to do, we do have it in us, however, I seem to have forgotten for a while and walked my journey on auto pilot. It was the motivational speeches I listened to over and over again, that ripped my blinders off, allowing me to realize that I was on auto pilot and that it was entirely my choice and through that, it became clear that it was also my choice to quit my automated, aloof, sort of directionless path and once I realized that and that there is power in having the freedom of choice, power in realizing our lives are controlled by a force called decision. So…all that said…sometimes, we all need a little nudge (or bigger in my case:)), reminding us that the answers are within us, waiting to be found:). Thank you Mr. Stallone!!! Chapeau!!

I would add, after getting knocked down the 3rd or 4th time, maybe doing something different in your approach. You may still get knocked down, but you'll land differently.

This is the voice that helped me surmount unbelievable odds, his never give up attitude even though the odds is stacked against you. When I was down and couldn't even walk I watched his movies nonstop, he got me up and made me believe in myself that I could do it. Thank you Mr Stallone for what you've given to the world, and what you've given to me. I love you dearly. God bless you and your family.

This hit a few notes. You did achieve your goals. Not talking about the bumps. My taxed on home are so past due. I have spent these last years fighting to make it. Now I don't see the point anymore. This pandemic seem to open my eyes and question what for. I killed myself building this house and now what's it all mean. My kids don't come around. There 15 and 18. Thankyou for the good words I feel like changing my goals. It's freaking scary at 60.

I salute you for your courage, Andrew! Better to enter the Kingdom of your Heaven at 60, or even 70, than to spend the rest of your life WONDERING what that might be like! It's scary because you've forgotten how powerful and loved you truly are! Re-connect yourself to THAT, and you'll be surprised at just how much things can change for THE BETTER! GO FOR IT like the way ROCKY trained and you'll certainly get it!

So well described , we all have common sense and sometimes quitting is even the right choice if it comes unnatural. To get to where you want to be it may be a struggle, but the reward is worth it.Now Sly adds some more words to this point, but he talks like a real human being.

Wow! I never expected something like this from Mr Stallone. I've never watched a Rocky film and, the only film of Sly's I've ever watched is Cliffhanger (which I enjoyed) However, I had absolutely no idea he'd made these wonderful, inspirational videos until one randomly popped up on KZbin today. Looking forward to hearing more of his experiences and wise advice. Thank you

Love doesn't carry the weight it used to. Used so often, much like hate, that it's just a saying with no resonance. Words had meaning once but when thrown around like yesterday's confetti, saying you love someone, especially a stranger, dilutes and ultimately kills any value the word had. But hey, that's my America. Laying waste to language on the daily.

Stallone is the last of the OG action heroes I truly respect. Arnold has turned leftist nutcase, Jean Claude Van DAMAGED is the proper way of pronouncing his name, Steven Segal’s ego is bigger than Hitler, Gangis Khan and the Cuomo brothers put together.. Sly, you’re the big dog dude. You will always have my respect

At 57 I finally get it. I’ve been sober for 7 years and now I have the answers and the right way to live. Problem is those opportunities that were mine to take are now lost in time. There may be others, but they become less potent with age, less frequent, but more of a gamble when they do present themselves. Hopefully it’s not too late for me as the right attitude, sense of accountability and responsibility is ever present. So anyway, my advice to all youngsters is now: Every action counts and has consequences - we get away with nothing, so use your time well. Great advice from Sly too.

Always had a deep respect for Stallone. This just adds another foundation block for why. This guy is pure motivation and always has a great way of letting us know we're doing just fine, just keep pushing on. Failure is a part of life and we will all encounter it, he just has a great way of letting you know thats not the end.
