I LOVE this man so much and I have been inspired of him since I was about 10-11 years old. When Over The Top came out in 1987 I was about the same age as David Mendenhall. I saw Over The Top over and over again on VHS, because it was like you were there in the truck with Sylvester Stallone for real, taking in all the love and wisdom of this wonderful man. Today I'm 47 years old and Sylvester Stallone STILL inspire me so much, and I'm so grateful for being a kid in the 80´s with Sly as my childhood hero and inspiration. Did anybody realize the red truck he drives was also in the movie called, The wizard with fred savage. Frank McRae who was in Rocky 2 was the one driving, taking the kids to the video game championship.

Has put out MANY of my favorite movies himself! Over the Top is one of my favorites AMONG my favorites! They sure don't make them like they use to! Even calling it the "entertainment" industry is laughable and pathetic!

It's more than broke even since original release. Recouped it's outlay and has earned 25 million bucks on top, via Video, DVD and BluRay sales in the past 35 years.
