Some things most people have probably missed about that first scene when Eric casually gives them the order to kill him when he comes down… he didn’t factor Hal and him were actually good friends. Hence Eric’s “wtf are you serious?” look on him when Hal starts screaming to warn him that they were going to kill him, which saved his life. Also when the avalanche comes down and they believe Slys character to have perished in it, at no point does Eric or any of his goons acknowledge or show any care in the world that they just lost one of their own in the avalanche (the guy that was shooting the gun).

The original stretching buckle was just a thin stamped metal buckle on a daypack waistband which I tied into, instead of my harness, while recording huffing puffing into Nakamichi recorder in daypack. Ogden roof with Greg and Ralph Lowe. I didnt fall, I lowerred, but realized I was tied into 400 lb test buckle, not harness. Writer changed that into 2 ppl, one dying, basing Gabe Goes East reality.
