Hi Kim family and Sylvia, the meat on the crab shell is called "tortang alimasag" or crab meat omelette in shell" and you are suppose to dip it spicy vinegar or fresh calamansi juice over it to counter the saltiness, ask the tenders for the sauce of this kind of dish. How great for a feeling that your family is enjoying their visit here in the Philippines.

The eggplant dish is called tortang talong, talong is eggplant. Anything mixed in scrambled egg is called torta. And the crab dish, the small one with its legs on it is called crablets. And the 2 big one is relyeno. The crab meat is removed from the shell and mixed with batter and vegetables and put it back in the shell and fried it. It is maybe salty because the one who prepared may have put more salt in it. It usually best eaten with rice to neutralize the saltiness.
