This tutorial is accurate as of Patch 2.30. It was recorded using the PC/Steam version of the King of Fighters XV.
Sylvie is fun. This one came out faster than I thought but also not as fast as I would have liked. Sometimes, I really struggle on a specific section. I hope everyone enjoys this one. I'm not sure who I'll do next. Maybe someone crazy. And I'm sorry if the volume is low on this one. When you've been working on the same thing for over a week and hear the same damn music, it really messes with you. And I should probably say this now while I'm only two tutorials in, but you can play any character in whatever spot you want. I'm just giving suggestions. Actually, if you are just learning a character, throwing them in the first spot is usually the right idea even if that's not optimal. Just to learn them, I mean. Anyway, Happy Holidays.

Q: Why do you make these tutorials?
A: Because I would like more people to play the King of Fighters. It's a great game series that needs more love around the globe (and especially here in America).
Q: Are you any good at the game?
A: I'm alright. I consider myself more of a fighting game student than an expert player. So, I probably won't win EVO, but I do like studying frame data, matchups, how the game works, etc. I would honestly much rather you beat me using what you learned here versus winning myself.
Q: Can I request a specific character?
A: Absolutely. You can do so in the comment section. I obviously need familiarity with the character though. I try to play as many as I can.
Q: What will you do if a new patch drops?
A: Great question. If the changes are significant, I may just reupload the tutorial with new info. If the changes are something relatively minor, I'll likely just leave an addendum somewhere. I will always state what game version the tutorial was made in the video description.
Q: Why don't you use Playstation/Xbox/Keyboard buttons?
A: Because not everyone plays on the same console. If I favored one set of buttons over the other, it wouldn't be fair. So, I use standard KOF A/B/C/D button inputs.
Q: Why do you use yucky numpad notation?!
A: I just think it's easier to understand. It seems the FGC in general is moving toward it. It's really not that hard to learn. If you have a numpad or a calculator on hand, you can look at it to help you.
Q: Why do these take so long to come out?
A: I have ADHD. Sometimes, I can pump these tutorials out reasonably fast, and sometimes, I don't want anything to do with KOF. Sorry about that.
Q: Where do you get your info?
A: Most of it is just playing the game and figuring out how moves work. The Dream Cancel wiki is also a great resource for me (and anyone really). And of course, watching KOF XV replay channels.
