After seeing Kimmy dancing in a video it created some interest in me, looking deeper into this show. I really liked the art style and I looked deeper into the relationship. After discovering more about the ship I started to be interested in the other main characters too. At first, I found Ilana to look similar to Ashi, just with blond hair and Lancer seemed to be not really reasonable at times. But after seeing the first and second episodes I started liking the show. Upset about it just lasting 1 season, because nobody was willing to make some toys of them...

Netflix was also how I got introduced into Sym-Bionic Titan! I was 17 at the time it was put on there; I wish I had seen it much sooner, because I have a feeling that its heartfelt messages would have been even more of a positive influence on me back then, but I’m still glad to have gotten the chance to watch it at all. Oh, and Kimmy is pretty and all, but do we have any other Ilana simps in the house? Her pure, nonjudgmental heart and relatable school struggles were the object of my fancy during the twilight of my angst-ridden teenage years. And yes, I’m fully aware that I share my first name with her would-be love interest, so don’t bother making jokes about it.

I actually watched Titan during it's original run on CN. I was 10 when it premiered. It impact the show left on me was huge and it still influences me to this day. Love Kimmy but Illana was the heart of the show.

Thanks for making this video. I'm a pretty active fan of this show still, and it gets discouraging when people only see doom and gloom in it's future rather than at least *trying* for a revival. I personally think with all the positive press Genndy Tartakovsky has been receiving lately, it only increases it's chances to return. Great video!

Thank you! It definitely does get discouraging at time, especially seeing tweets where people are certain it'll never come back. With the deal Genndy just signed with CN and Warner Bros. Animation and Titan being on Genndy's "welcome back" card from CN, I still think the show has a chance at a revival (though with the recent WBD news, I am a bit worried).

This show was my favorite thing to watch back in the day. I remember forcing myself to get up early in the morning to watch new episodes of this show. For context, I literally HATED getting up in the morning for school and I was only in the 2nd grade. So this show held a LOT of Importance to me. I broke down in tears when I found out it had been cancelled. There were so many questions I still had about the show like: -What caused Modula to turn evil? -What is the secret behind Sym-Bionic Titan? -Who is the person who fixed Octus? -What is that weird Green Thing on Modula’s Hat? -Why does the King not know about Titan? -What was Octus’s original purpose and who built him? These were all questions that I desperately always hoped would be answered… But in the end they never were 😢 And don’t even get me started on that last scene with Octus returning and the screen zooming in on him, cause that fr*cking made me ugly cry 😭

I sadly missed every TV airing of Sym-Bionic Titan i did set some of the Toonami airings to record but i didn't watch it at the time but being from Genndy and it being a popular cartoon i wanted to check it out and i did that by adding to My Toonami Lineup it premiered on My Toonami Lineup on August 1st 2020 Netflix is how i was watching it on My Toonami Lineup and when i heard it was being removed from Netflix i had to do something to finish the series before i lost legal access to it so on November 21st 2020 a Sym-Bionic Titan marathon aired on My Toonami Lineup episodes 13-20 were the episodes on that night

It's definitely easier said than done. And Genndy's got a lot on his plate right now with Primal and Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. But if Titan is given the greenlight to return and manages to find time for it, it's not impossible.

This show is probably the best out of any of my favorites that were cancelled too early. A show like this generally attracts an older audience, and the figures are often too low quality to be appealing. While things are certainly better than when I was a kid, if you compare the average toy over here to the average in Japan, there is a huge gap in variety and quality.

I don’t think there’s any point in asking for a season 2, until Genndy says that Primal is finished. And given how the show just got a second wind of hype after Fang gave birth on camera, and all the furries collectively went “Wait, for real?”, Primal will probably be getting a third season, unless Genndy decides that he’s said all he needs to say by the end of season 2. But again, for the sake of the current topic of discussion, SBT, it’s really best to not bother Genndy until he’s free to work on something else. Because honestly? After the disaster that was Samurai Jack season 5, I’m not sure how good Genndy is at ending shows. He never had to do that before SJ season 5, since all his other shows had been episodic, and kept going after he left, and as I’ve said, he completely dropped the ball with SJ season 5. Now, SJ season 5 was the only season of the show that had an ongoing plot, with the previous 4 seasons of the show only being tied together through the loose idea that Jack is in this world, and wants to go back to the past. SBT is a HEAVILY plot-driven show. It’s a massive break from everything else Genndy has done. Even Primal is 80% episodic. So while I’m iffy on his ability to stick the landing with a return of SBT, the simple fact of the matter is that Genndy NEEDS to be involved, as even me being iffy with Genndy, is far more trust than I have for basically anyone else in the industry. So, basically, I want to wait until Genndy is free to focus solely on any new SBT stuff, as when he did SJ season 5, his time was heavily split between that, and Hotel Transylvania, and it’s obvious that spending time with Adam Sandler fogged Genndy’s mind to make him make all the poor decisions that happened in season 5. So if he suddenly and magically gets to finally make his Popeye movie after he’s done with Primal, then wait until the movie is out to ask him to finish SBT, Genndy clearly works best when he’s focused on one thing at a time.

Exactly. It doesn't feel like a fitting ending because it wasn't intended to be the series finale. 10 more episodes were written at the time of the show's cancellation.

Hell yeah it does!! This could've been Genndy's greatest master piece but instead he made Primal. That sucks like hell. And even though Sym Bionic Titan is currently my 7th favourite CN show, i love the hell out of it and i could've ranked it higher if it had more episodes.

Genndy didn't pitch the show to Adult Swim until after Season 5 of Jack was finished (Jack was also supposed to be concluded with a movie, but it was stuck in development hell for years and eventually became Season 5), which was 2017. I explained why Titan was canceled in the video.

Yeah, it seems like we've hit another roadblock and my faith's a bit shaken at the moment. I wrote the original article in late 2020 and made the video this past December. Didn't see the Warner Discover merger coming nor did anyone see the current bloodbath CN and Warner Animation are experiencing right now + HBO Max being needlessly dismantled. Right as Genndy signed a deal too! We can only hope that none of his projects get there get axed and they'll still light the end of the tunnel for Titan to return on whatever the hybrid HBO Max/Discovery service is called. But with the current leadership being so anti-animation, definitely, a bit spooked now.

Well. The show could’ve been better. I think as a whole it just was a generic action show. Looking at Gendy Terraoski’s (sp) work. He does know how to make these serious shows and make a funny spin on them. I feel like Sym Bionic Titan needed a little more humor than that. Everything was at it’s best generic. Lance is a generic bad boy. Ilanna was a generic whimsical girl. The cheerleaders, the jocks. They weren’t doing anything new or fun with it. The sad part is that Gendy Terashoski (sorry can’t get his name right) is good at givino those type of shows a funny spin. Look at Dexter’s Lab, Powerpuff Girls (which he had a hand in) and Samurai Jack. Like wouldn’t it be funny if Lance was a parody of that brooding character. Like his backstory was so hilariously tragic, but people bought it because it was “deep?” What if Ilanna was trying so hard to fit in she was seen as a weirdo, played for laughs. I feel like it was a show that needed to be more comedic rather than played seriously. I don’t think it’s bad, it just felt… generic and bland.
