SYM CRUISYM 400 - EICMA 2024

Finally, Sym is bringing a few 400 to the market, to compete with some Japanese midi scooters. For a GT, you need around 35hp ( long highway or duo capable) , big underseat storage and a nice dash ( you will be looking at it all the time, right). These are great for Touring, city hopping and sport rides. Very versatile and to avoid traffic jams and parking problems. Hope, some accessoires are available (back rack for topcase, higher screen, maybe nice Akra or Leo Vince or other exhaust, gps holder and ... Just to personnalise and further improve it 😁. Like BMW, Honda, Yamaha are also doing for years. This Cruissym400, with the ADX TG400 will compete with the BMW C400 and few newcomings from China. But they sure look very nice, practical and are reliable proven, considering they are already decades producing and even for Euro and Japanese brands. Looking forward to see them soon. Alex here In China we already buying these and there is a problem about the windshield… because it needs to be “hooked” or locked inside the front panels to make it stable. ( for presentation they didn’t lock it ) and sellers here are saying if you do t lock it it will shake 🙄

Hello Alex! To be honest. The front is weird. But did I see it right that it has a built in front dashcam? Does the underseat storage cover a flip up helmet (big size)? Thank you.😊

Yes it has front and rear cameras and from what I can tel you can fit a full face helmet under the seat.

What is the significance of this move by SYM, since there is a similar scooter, the MAXSYM GT ? Will they stop producing it ? In any case , it's too slow for touring long distances . Only 34 ps and 222 kg ! [ ADXTG has 39 ps ] No way !

The maxsym is the sporty one the cruisym is the touring one.

@@manousosnightwatcher2094 yes, at least some more 400cc scooter to choose from. We had to many 300, these were to light for real highway use and Touring. Thats what the Honda 350 adv and forza in 29hp are lacking. And the 750 is too expensive and heavy. I have asked Honda and Yamaha for years to produce or restart a 400 as they had in past. If only Honda would make the ADV 400 or Yamaha the Xmax400 again😥. Now the Taiwanese and Chinese are getting it. 35 to 39hp and useful underseat storage, just light enough for commuter and good for Touring, without the price of a real maxi 500cc+ Twin cilinder 10.000€+ range.

Don't think so. The maxsym is the sporty one, this is the touring one.

Bääh zum kotzen 🤮🤮schon wieder sind die blinker im Spiegel verbaut ( wer mal ersetzt musste weil kippte und zerstört wurde) weiß das die nicht billig sind. Zumal sind die Spiegel mit wenig Blickfeld nach hinten was nervig ist wenn man nur die Hälfte sieht ohne totewinkel zu sehen und eigene Schulter darin sieht😢 2.punkt Zugänglichkeit für kleine Handgriffe Reparatur die man normalerweise selbst ohne Reparatur wissen erlaubt ( Batterie, zündkerze, Glühbirne) wechseln sind jetzt noch immer umständlich und extra schwieriger. Was bringt also Design zumal es keine schöne Front ist allgemein die Leistung mit allen Eigenschaften fehlt an Funktionalität wenn Zuverlässigkeit unter aller sau ist
