The "A" and the "B" indicate which infrared band is being used. To have two pilots flying two of these helicopters at the same time, you need to bind one of the helicopters to channel A and the other to channel B. If you just have one helicopter, it won't matter which one you use since the newer model year designs of these Syma helicopters can bind to either band. In other words, if you have a new S107 helicopter it isn't hardwired to run only on band A or only on band B. You get to choose!

@UzumakiMatrix Yes, thanks for asking! I just uploaded a new video, "Syma S107 Charging with the USB Cable" to show charging with the USB cable. Plug the USB end into a charger first and you will see a bright light on the yellow connector. Once you plug the other end into the helicopter, the light will go off. Once the helicopter is fully charged, the light will be fully on again.

The 3 channel coaxial helis from Syma have similar functionality and price, so I'd just choose the one that you think looks the best! or pick an iPhone version if you like to do things the iPhone way. As for flying outdoors, no you can't really fly this thing outdoors very well. Sunlight interferes with infrared signals. If you want a helicopter to fly outdoors, you need one with an FM or 2.4GHz transmitter such as the S034G.

i just got mine and now it doesnt have the spring where the stick on the left go back down on its own

Make sure you have fresh transmitter batteries and turn everything off - transmitter and helicopter both off. Set the transmitter to a band, then turn it on. Next, turn on the helicopter and let it sit still on a level table for 5-10 seconds. Don't move it around. Now, try to turn on the throttle and see if it works okay.

I'm having the same problem. Got it flying once and now nothing. There isn't a switch for on/off on the copter, more like a strange pin connector coming out the bottom. Very flimsy construction and very unclear how to switch it on. The instruction to pair the remote with the copter didn't work. At a loss with this thing.

u cant charge the controller. for that u need to put in rechargable batteries and take them out to recharge them.
