I picked this little r/c heli up from my local Rural King store. Surprisingly these are not too common online. The ones I've found are selling for double what Rural King sells them for. If you are interested in this and live in the USA I recommend buying it from Rural King's website below.

These are fun little flyers for kids indoors, I have the syma s107 that I reviewed last year for amazon vendor which is very similar to this one... Has infrared also.

The S5H is a 2.4ghz version of the S5. The S5H has dual rates and its altitude hold. That also applies to the S107H which is also a 2.4ghz version of the S107G.

Hello , you are correct : a bi-rotors with fix blades helicopter flies only inside . The wind is the big enemy .

I have one of these and for the money they are great. I can't believe how durable they are suffering zero damage after at least 50 crashes inside the house learning to fly it. They sell for about $20 on Ebay and Amazon and are well worth the price. Back in the day when I was a kid something like this would have cost at least a hundred bucks or more. I am surprised they can make and sell it for that and it actually works. I got mine a few days ago new in the box for a trade for hauling a porch and patio table and chairs in my pickup to a friends house. When he gave it to me I kinda laughed at first. After I got it home I charged it up and started flying it. I've flown 5 full charges with it now and think it is cool as all get out. Every kid needing the perfect toy and not spending a weeks pay getting it should have one of these. Proof cool doesn't always have to be expensive.

@@RDsRCReviews I just ordered the upgraded S107G model in the Kawasaki green color to play around with too. I had no idea how much fun these are to fly. That one was $22.98 on Amazon. I will get better with this one first as it is cheaper to learn on. So far so good with crashes. You could give this to your kid or grandkids and it will still be in one piece and working after many crashes. Not a mark on it really, however I was able to order a new rotor blade rebuild kit for this new S107G for $3.99 just in case. They already give you a replacement tail rotor blade although I have not needed it yet. I see you can buy a charger and 5 extra new 3.7V 380 mAh Li batteries for $17.99 as well. It might not be a bad idea to get this later. If you know anything about cordless power tools the batteries always take a crap before the tool wears out not holding a charge anymore. To replace them you simply remove the two Phillips screws on the cockpit and it is under the windshield area where the seat would be.

@@JohnDoeEagle1 if you like these helis ssh much then you should get a drone next. Drones are way more fun and much faster.

@@RDsRCReviews Thanks, I will look into one once I get better and can trust myself. I already have way more control than I did before I started. Less crashes and more like I know what I am doing. Glad I didn't start out with a $800 - $1000 one. Lol

I flow mine outside and it was super slow the 2.4ghz I flown. I was Suprised at my jjrc for not having any speed rates. But while indoors it was not bad at all.

You do realize there are two speeds modes right? Yes neither are fast but the second mode moves a bit. As you alluded to the challenge with this is getting it to maintain a stable altitude. To me it demands finesse and mastering hovering and maintaining altitude make it fun to learn to master. I think it’s a great beginning heli and easily worth $20 or more. I got two for $40 Canadian. Does your have the gyro? Mine is the thunderbolt. Anyway I’m diving head first into this hobby and have already been attempting some finesse landings and aggressive moves. Well as aggressive as it will allow anyway. Collective pitch is next as I’ve got a few more on the way. Finally this thing is tough and ideal for the abuse it will likely take. I smashed mine into a moving wooden ceiling fan. Remarkably no damage done. Outstanding fun and value for the money.

Yes it has two speed rates. Maybe I forgot to demonstrate both in the video. I don't remember. I have two of these. The other one I recently reviewed is metal. They are fun for indoors. My 3yr old loves for me to fly them while she chases them. Have you looked into quadcopters? I find them much for him that helis. A freestyle acro quad is fun to fly.

RD's Drone Reviews Man I’m diving in head first. Can’t wait to try outdoor flight. I bought a Sport Cub plane and a Blade 200 heli for outdoors. Also an MCP to get into collective pitch and a basic indoor Blade fixed pitch single rotor heli. I expect the single rotor indoor heli to be a considerable upgrade of course. I don’t thing I’m into drones, it’s the kid in me that likes the aircrafts, admiring them etc and to me drones don’t do it. Cheers.

@@stevejohnston8543 thrust me you'll like drones. A quadcopter is much more fun that helis and you can capture amazing video. Look up some of the freestyle acro pilots on KZbin like Mr. Steele. They take unreal skill just like flying an acro heli. Helis are dying because quads are much better. There's just so much more you can do with a quad. You need to give quads a try first before you give up on them. These quads can fly 100mph while capturing amazing video.
@RDsRCReviews
@RDsRCReviews 4 жыл бұрын
@Erich Von Manstein all matter of opinion but flying acro at speeds well over 100mph is much more exciting IMO than a boring heli. You can't get footage like that with a heli.
@RDsRCReviews
@RDsRCReviews 4 жыл бұрын
@Erich Von Manstein I'm talking about flying by FPV and doing all of those acrobatic moves with a real racing quad. I'm not talking about some slow GPS camera bird. You seem very unfamiliar with quads. No one races helis in reading leagues for a reason.
