The Company spend a week recovering in Thistle Hold after returning from Davokar and recovering the abducted Master Emilio from the Blood Robes of Blackmoor.
The consider their options. Thistle Hold and the Mayor requests they investigate the trouble at thenewly built Tower at the edge of Davokar. Trouble that relates to the Winter Wife. An entity they have encountered in the past.
Lord Mindol, a compatriot of Bo, offers them a lead of work with an unknown contact worth whom is offering "the sun" as payment.
And the Blood Robes in Blackmoor are likely still a threat, at least for Bo and Master Emilio.
The Company decide to take Lord Mindol up on his offer and make contact with mysterious woman at a tavern called the Fern. Until specifics can be known, the Bells of the North gate toll, a thing that has not happened in years. Rushing to see what has caused them to ring, they accompany Captain Marvello out the gates and encounter two witches riding huge colossi whom ask if the "Well has Spoken." When finding this has not occurred, they ask to enter Thistle Hold as great evil is within the city. Retreating back into Thistle Hold and while awaiting the Mayor's attendance, the "Well" speaks and a mosntruous bell tolls, collapsing part of Thistle Hold down an enormous hole. Rushing to the site, the Company fight beasts and transformed barbarians arising from the rift.
