Some people might be mad Miles beat Peter with the suit but - Peter himself is actively fighting the symbiote - Miles blue venom is a hard counter to symbiotes - Miles was using the bells sound, the other hard counter to symbiotes - Peter just finished fighting Kraven, who was also using the bell a lot He legit had every advantage possible and it was still a hard fight for him

Exactly. Peter was still holding back his intent to kill even against Kraven. If Peter didn’t fight from within and became one with the symbiote, he would’ve been a more dangerous Venom. Hell, Miles couldn’t even beat Kraven by himself, and Harry’s Venom just dogwalked Kraven. Imagine Peter fully turning into Venom.

honestly i wish we could had a mental fight on pete's mind between red suit him x symbiote... so he is fighting inside his mind and miles outside, BUT i think they didn't made that because they wanted peter to keep roasting miles in the way, peter just started wanting to get rid of it near the end of the fight. I felt so sorry for Peter during this fight. He’s just a deeply traumatised little boy who’s lost everyone he’s ever loved and only ever wanted to save them and be validated for what he’s suffered and done. He has dedicated his life to fighting the good fight and helping people and all he ever gets for it is shit on by everyone and punished by the universe more than any villain ever has or will be. He’s judged more than anyone else when no one else (other than Miles and Mj) are willing to do anything and he’s so damaged he’s consumed by the symbiote and creates his own greatest enemy through his own grief. No wonder he can’t give it up. He’s finally found something that reassured him he’s everything everyone forces and judges him to be. Peter deserves better ! I've always thought Yuri Lowenthal has a samey voice problem, but he did a really good job there. I did actually tear up a bit hearing how sad Peter sounded 4:00 and on, really goes to show that while Pete appears to not take the things Jonah says seriously he is actually worried about what he's doing, and the symbiote played off those insecurities and revealed he does actually worry that he might be the cause more bad than good (plus the recent MJ article and the danika cast right before then)

I like how the symbiote is portrayed on Peter. He couldn’t take control of his emotions and was struggling against the symbiote and mindlessly fighting Miles. Meanwhile Miles was much more collected, and had more control over his powers, and the bells, which is why I believe he won. Also, Yuri’s voice acting is literally a 10/10! But at the end of the game my opinion on it has definitely changed for the worse. While I still think they nailed the symbiote and how Yuri is incredible, it’s so obvious they made Peter a weakling to pave way for the new (and less interesting) Miles Spider-Man. You can just tell they want Miles (who never makes mistakes btw) to seem like he’s a better Spider-Man than Peter ever was and that Peter is useless. Truly heartbreaking at how disrespectful this game was to Peter. Well, at least Super Mario Wonder is fantastic :)

Look it up yourself. So here, I personally think Peter should win; but Miles could win if something aids him, and in this case, I think the symbiote was Peter’s weakness. It messed up his mind and morals. Plus, there’s the bells (the bells were also the symbiote’s weakness in the comics, it’s how Peter removed the symbiote in the first place in I believe 1985). I think the lesson is you don’t need the symbiote to truly be a hero!

I’m ngl it makes perfect sense for Peter to lose here. Even with the suit… there’s obvious weaknesses that are EASILY exploited throughout. The bell specifically as miles is constantly using it when fighting. Second Peter is tryna combat it mentally too so that’s also making him weaker as he can’t focus on a fight. Third I do think we have to accept that miles is surpassing Peter. I love both miles and Peter, and it makes sense for miles to surpass Peter because not only does miles have really good abilities but he also has been training under one of the BEST spidermen out there. No duh he’s going to surpass him, that’s the point of a mentor. I do think that they could’ve handled Peter a bit better in this game but overall an amazing game and somehow better than both its predecessors.

Tbh I think they might be equals currently, Miles might have more powers then Peter, but (to my knowledge) he hasn’t had the amount of experience Peter has had, and plus adding on to what you said, I don’t think Pete was fighting like he does in the game, the suit has him perform more simplistic and brutal moves due to heightened aggression. In a real fight? I’m not sure, but it could definitely go either way or just lead to a tie, as while Peter has more experience, Miles has more tools to work with, but if that ever happens I hope Insomniac allows us to play it and choose which one we want to play as.

Peter fought many times against stronger enemies using his intellect, that's why Miles did the same using the bell, he also had an internal fight recently about Li, and he was trying to save his mentor without hurting him too much, he held back and won legitimately. , has more potential than Peter and he showed that throughout the game, don't be ardent fans of Peter, this is so true and Peter is aware of it, that he left the mantle of Spiderman to Miles for a while.

This scene is for me a pure demonstration of how Miles represents a sincere version of a Spider-Man. He doesn’t loose sight of his responsibilities and cold-blood in a very deep desperate situation where his friend and mentor is about to loose his own identity and decline his entire existence in a dark symbiote but he’s still nonetheless helping him and figuring out a solution for his sanity and the sake of all New-York. All over the game when Peter was about to loose his mind into darkness, loose his life or dive into sorrow, Miles was the light that afford him to see and clear up the path for a way out. Miles Morales is clearly the best character of this game for me, he depicts a pure version of a Spider-Man !

Miles is a great character but you clearly lack an understanding of Peter. The symbiote having such an effect on him shows how much sadness and anger he has been holding back for all these years. He has lost almost everything. Peter let his aunt die, his last parental figure who stood by him his whole life, to save everyone else. Saying he’s a lesser spider-man is disrespectful af. Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne are 2 of the most strongest willed comic book characters, these guys stand by their morals and hold everything back every day for years despite everything that they have faced

I wouldn’t not say “better” from a moral and ethical point of view but rather a “sincere” or “pure” version of Spidey : When Miles was about to abandoned the victims for Martin Li ; His supposed last words to Martin Li “I can never forgive you […]” or even the small dialogue detail of the fight “You don’t even answer my calls anymore man !” All of these details show to me that Miles knows how to not deny his own feelings but also not let them take the lead in detriment of his responsibilities while Peter just accumulated sorrows, pain and stuff for years until a breaking point where the Symbiote took advantage of this and control him in his entirety. P-S : Actually why not Peter Parker wouldn’t be a lesser version of Spider-Man ? Since compared to Miles Morales he has less ability and power potential due to Miles bioelectricity that hard counters symbiote like the fight shows it. Even him was about to abandoned himself to the symbiote’s strength in order to be “A better Spider-Man” like he said to Dr.Connors. He implies by himself that his power isn’t enough to be stronger.

dude your analyse is great and i wish the game had a bit more of content to show more of those personality traits from peter that we, as fans, can get the message but as a game they could have a bit more content to expose more of this. Like the mission with harry on school... sure, we can get (by movies and other medias how they are best friends) that they are very close by their first interation but that flashback mission helps to establish that. Symbiote peter on the other hand we don't really have a moment in the game that he shows his inner demons through the symbiote, it seems like he is angry just because of the symbiote and that's it. @@lucitheos1541
