They are not weak, for gods sake. They can kill a good amount of infranty and mostly cavs! Hell, people are so used to have an unit that hit kills everything in seconds that even an unit "above average" that needs some teamplay combo are considered weak. The paladin nerf is the proof of that: now that they cant be HEAVILY used to counter almost everything (besides IR and cav), people discard then and call useless.

Khevtuul cav with new veterancy is a lot of fun it's a little bit weaker than companion cav, but it's cheaper in leadership cost

So even with unit mastery completly useless, what a shame... I think with cover commander this units would actually be good but oh well

They were totally utteryly useless. Now they're ok. Still weak when compared to Imperial Spearmen, Myrmillones or now Spartan Chosen, all tower shield, all durable and better units. But these guys have one edge. They're good against cav. So finally a spear unit that is also good vs cav it seems and can hold a line vs infantry too. SO I can see them having a place in meta now. If You don't want to take phalanx and need something that will hold cav but will also be better against enemy range, then this might just be the right choice. And if You get a full granade throw in your face from shenjis, You don't really need to worry that much as with phalanx, You don't lose so much value and they'll probably take it better too.

He had the cc immunity doc which gave his stalwarts better chances, I think stalwarts is still weak and they need to buff it up more.

@@rstronghold4896 yeah I agree, 100% they need further buff. But still, going from being totally useless to at least not being a total leadership waste, is an improvement. xD
